Why no post-fight interview for Whyte/Chisora? I'd rather have seen interviews with those two than the actual fight for the main event. Hearn needs to answer for this.
Too many fights on the card being televised, running too late. Not sure if they ever intended interviews to be shown... guessing not given the amount of fights with 'names' (one name mostly)
Also they might have been wary of any further chaos, I think they both forfeited the chance to be interviewed when they couldn't sit 10 metres away from each other without tables flying around and threats being hurled.
I guess maybe it was pre-arranged that they would not have a post fight interview. But my god was the fight deserving of it. Hopefully we can get the rematch on the AJ/Wlad undercard. Wilder will have watched this fight and been petrified.
I can't think of a better domestic fight this year, it was a really good fight and like you I hope we see a rematch soon. Who did you have winning? I had Chisora edging it, really close though, some of those early rounds were so close. I have no problem with the cards, I thought it was one of those that really could go wither way and it ended up like that with a split decision.
I had Chisora by a round, but I can't complain. Whyte might have stolen it with his activity in the last 2-3 rounds. I do feel bad for Derek though after that effort, he looked genuinely devastated. That was throwback Chisora.
I agree, I think Chisora walking back to the corners and ropes and just standing there for quite long periods was such a bad look at times and probably cost him a round or two which decided the fight on the judges cards. Chisora showed tonight he wasn't/isn't finished yet, he proved a lot of people wrong tonight with his effort and performance. Both men showed they are no pushovers, both showed great heart, courage and a desire to win, it's one of those fight both came out with enhanced reputations and hopefully a lot of respect.
I scored it 115-113 to Del Boy, but that is only because I gave him the 12th. If you gave the 12th to Whyte then it would have been a draw. Chisora gassed badly after the 8th and lost the 9th, 10th and 11th rounds on my card- he was clearly tired after his efforts in the 8th Whyte has a great set of whiskers on him because both in the 5th and 8th Chisora threw the kitchen sink at him.
I thought after all they gave of themselves that we didn't get to hear from both was a real shame. Both were a Fantastic credit with that performance Neither deserved to lose and both deserved to be able to have their say
