All the talk about potential match ups after the fight on Saturday is AJ V Wilder,

if not Wilder for AJ then Whyte or wildcard.

Why not Fury if he pulls off a great result on Saturday?

Obviously he is with FW, but a fight of that magnitude should still be able to be made.

I think if Fury wins then they will try and milk it a little bit first and build towards an AJ fight in 2020

If Fury wins team AJ will absolutely crap themselves. I'm not saying AJ will be scared. AJ will fancy his chances of knocking out anyone. However, Eddie and McCracken won't want AJ anywhere near Fury. It's a dreadful matchup for AJ.

This completely Hearn is terrified of the prospect of Fury winning.

    1) he doesn’t have much of a chance on Saturday night.

    2) he’s with Warren

    3) he’s demanding 60/40 in his favour.

They want to get AJ over in America. You can't do that with Fury. They need Wilder to win and not only win but look good doing so.

Why would they be terrified of Fury winning if they're not going to fight him anyway?

Why do they need or want him to go to America? Boxing isn't big in America as this fight shows.

IF Fury wins then, he is a tougher and tricker fight for AJ than Wilder is.

Styles make fights and Tyson Fury has the kind of style to make AJ miss and make him look very bad.

Added to that is the fact that Wilder is the favourite against Tyson Fury, because of his inactivity and long lay off.

Now, think about this for a moment. A lot of what if's here, but run with it.

What if Fury wins a stinker. A proper messy, horrible, spoiler fight. Some, without question, will say he's a genius. But a lot will say it was a garbage fight. We know people loved his fight against Klitschko, but when the rematch was all set, it sold really, really badly before ultimately never happening. What if that happens again?

Wilder has the rematch clause. What if he says no? Wilder losing a points decision against Fury won't convince anyone who thought he'd beat Joshua that he couldn't. Yes, Fury represents a chance to get his title back, but Joshua has three titles himself. And a rematch of a dismal fight which didn't sell that well in the first place is never going to make Wilder as much money as a Wembley fight with Joshua, even if Wilder takes short money.

Now, people will of course say they want to see Joshua Fury. But if Fury is the nightmare opponent for Joshua at this stage, why not milk it? It's also probably harder to make, given the differences between Hearn, Warren, Sky and BT.

Ultimately, is there more talk about Joshua Wilder than Joshua Fury because, win or lose, the former is more likely?

There is talk of a two way rematch clause so AJ now fights whyte/Del Boy Winner 13th April then miller if he wins then pulev meaning 2020 is the closest we will get to seeing AJ v fury/wilder

I think AJ fights all match room fighters for the foreseeable future unless it’s a mandatory defence

AJ sells stadiums out vs anyone why risk the golden ticket ££ low risk high reward every fight for AJ

    Wilder cant sell a ticket

Fury is the A side in his eyes he dethroned WK and if he beats Deontay Wilder twice he would want a lot more than 50%

We will never see fury v Joshua
And wilder would need to take like a 70/30 split just my opinion don’t know the actual numbers just guessing

Opening new markets is never a bad thing.

I wouldn't use this fight as an example of boxing not being big in America.

He can want it in the same way I can want Kelly Brook to come knocking but I know it ain't happening.

Also - you mention about keeping Joshua safe. This reminded me of the Yarde thread. If Joshua fought Wilder or Fury and lost, that would still generate massive money. A rematch would still generate massive money. A fighter who sells as well as Joshua isn't going to suddenly end up giving away tickets for a fight at the Copperbox if he loses a fight or two. Froch Groves filled Wembley and both had lost. Bellew Haye did over 1.5m over two fights and both had lost. I'm not saying a loss wouldn't hurt Joshua, but I don't think it ends his career in any meaningful financial sense.
