Once again I believe the discussion is about the board...not the Hatton fanatics who'd follow him to the ends of the earth.

    You're really whiny about this.

You wanted us to talk about the fight.

    We are aren't we?

I'd say we're on the general premise of the thread.

I've already stated my thoughts on this in the analysis thread...ya know where the ACTUAL talk about the fight goes.

Prior to Mayweather Britian didnt have Calzaghe fighting RJJ and Haye stepping up to Heavyweight only 2 and 1 weeks before his fight. Also Mayweather is a bigger fight than Paulie Mailifaggi!

I, for one, happen to think that Malignaggi's complete lack of power takes away from the intrigue of the fight. That, and the fact that Hatton's become nothing more than a mauler. The ingredients for an exciting fight are woefully absent here.

my response to jump-ship-Hatton-fans from now on will simply be:

    55,000!

Something no us boxer has done in the past what? 10? 20 years?

I hear you but its a bit of a step down. He's gone from being one of the most talked about fighters on the site to virtually nothing. He was also talked about a lot more prior to even fighting Mayweather than now. Just cos a guy loses he doesn't have to be deserted! :-(

Still nobody will admit if Fatton has lost a step or two. Will this be a factor against Paulie or not?

Why would it be a factor?

Lazcano had the power to take advantage of Hatton's inability to defend against a hook...does Paulie?

Paulie could have the Panama Lewis treatment with his gloves...and still barely buzz Hatton.

no becasue a Hatton who has lost a step or two is still 10 steps ahead of Paulie.

On the actual fight I've got a bit more confident Hatton will win even though he looked like **** last time. I like what he's been doing on the pads with Mayweather. If he's just thinking a tiny little more about defence and using a jab it should eliminate the small chance the tranny had.

If he loses to this man he needs to retire straight after the fight, there is nowhere to go after you lost to a featherfisted *****.

    Cut it and print.

Hatton maybe on the slide...but Paulie isn't the dude to exploit it.
