I'm sure HBO would pay for a Bute/Steiglitz Unification fight on there air.
HBO had Andrade/Steiglitz on a BAD card. Why not a fight between 2 title holders? Steiglitz is rested enough to be able to enter a camp for a fight 3 months down the road. Steiglitlz' handlers have let him out of germany before for less profiled fights, and this fight would def sell out any arena in
canada. If this fight doesn't get made it is because they didn't try. Miranda is in no way more deserving of this fight than the WBO champ, and the aforementioned fight would be more competittive and more significant as well. Bute would def win, but this is to me and for the sake of the sport and division the most obvious fight to make. It also seems that steiglitz team is easy to negotiate with these days. Somebody should
speak up about this fight. Who the **** wants to see bute/brinkley or bute/miranda when we could just as easily get closer to a unified champ?
After bute/steiglitz lucian could then defend against jesse or edison, but with the super 6 airing 2 fights at about this time, bute should be fighting
someone with significance or at least with a world strap. No questions Just think of it!

Stieglitz vs Andradee wasn't even competitive it was a one-sided beatdown. I'm from Montreal and a big Bute fan but not too interested in seeing him fight Stieglitz. I'd rather a Bika rematch.

I doubt Steiglitz wants to fight Bute, even on HBO. He would have a good payday, but would most likely lose the fight. I think he'd rather sta in Germany, make defences against low risk opponents and still make good money.

I would love a unification though.

The only time Stieglitz was on HBO Andrade dominated him.

I like unifications, but Stieglitz knows he is a very limited champ and would be beaten by Bute.
I think Stieglitz will cash with his belt before taking a dangerous fight like that.

Bute needs that fight. He needs to get that belt, clear out the division and then challenge Super 6 winner.

April? No rush super 6 aint over for like 2 years. As long as they unify eventually and meet its winner. Hopefully Bute cleans out the rest of the division and unifies and unifies again. Shame Bute has no real threat cause of the tournament

    Key word: "Unification" dude.

Bika rematch does not interest me.

I agree, Stieglitz is the best option for Bute.

    Easy answer:
Stielglitz no way leaves Germany for Canada and Bute no way leaves Canada for Germany.

It's not the most compelling fight but it might be the best option for Bute. Thanks to the super 6, there just aren't that many good fights for him - unless Pavlik decides to move up.

Whatever Steiglitz's limitations, unification is always a good thing - and if it saves us from Bute-Brinkley, all the better.

Bute's promoter said they wanted Lucian to fight in Romania this summer.

Here is what I hope happens for Bute in 2010:

    April: Miranda
    July: Stieglitz in Romania
    Nov.-Dec.: Pavlik in the US
