I think this fight is way more interesting than a fight with Jr (for martinez) and it would be bad ass to see imo. I think it sells well, golden boy and dibella would be down, Canelo gets his legit opponent and maravilla gets a fight which if he wins, can retire in style and on a high note. We need to talk more about this potential fight.
If he could get paid he would do it in a heartbeat, sergio destroys canelo at 154, im quite sure of that. No way gbp is going to risk their potential hyped future cashcow against someone as dangerous as sergio, they want floyd vs canelo.
Fighting Sergio don't pay more than Floyd. Risk / Reward wise, it's a given that Canelo would fight Floyd.
I read the WBC want Chavez Jr v Martinez later this year so this is a far more interesting matchup. Alvarez can clean out and prove his credentials in the JMW division before moving up and facing a proven champion.
