From a boxing perspective, that is exactly how it should be. But, unfortunately, there is a lot more money to be made by Cotto if he avoids Williams. If he loses to Williams (which I think he would), all the big money fights would be off the table. He would be out of the running.

Cotto and Williams shouldnt have to elimante eachother.... mayweather should.
Good points. I can see it that way as well. My point is, the top three guys should have to fight one another. Not go with a big money fight against DLH at whatever catch weight DLH picks, or a cheesy celebrity bout against Alphonso Gomez. These guys should have to go head to head and find out who's the best WW.
