Why not have a weight class for every pound?

We could then also add sanctioning organizations
    CIA
    FBI
    NCAA
    NAACP
    KGB
    and others

Then we could also include Jr. titles, supertitles, interim titles, youth titles and inter-continental titles.

Thus every fighter--No, every PERSON--in the world could be a champion and every fight would be for a title.

Also there would be super All Time Greats with champions who can win titles in 20 weight classes .

This idea will probably help save the sport of boxing.

    The implications here are staggering.

I suggest fractional divisions below 140 so that heavier fighters don't get an unfair advantage. Valuev would crush all opposition at the 321 pound weight limit.

I can name loads of guys who can make 321 pounds quite comfortably and still beat Valuev

Then cut the rounds down to 6 for title bouts and 3 rounds for all nontitle bouts, with 2 minutes per round, and a rule that no titles can be unified.

I also think there should be intercontinental champs as well as 'the peoples" champion" belt.

I think that would be a step too far for Blanks! He'd be ruined when Toney puts on another 50 pounds after 3 months training him.

The mystique of Tae Bo would be ruined forever.

But the idea has already been implemented:
The weight divisions increased from 8 to 17 including a minimumweight.
The organizations now include the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, IBA, IBC, WBF, NABF, USBA, NABO, EBU, IBO, UBO, USB etc. etc.

Why have a minimumweight? Doesn't that discriminate against the even lower weight fighters. Those that aren't heavy enough to be a jockey need an outlet for their athletic competitivness. There is a pygmy tribe in Africa that has many fine athletes that weigh 65-80 lbs. What about them? In contrast how can we allow a boxer who cannot make the 200 lb. cruiserweight limit to fight guys like Valuev or Klitchko? We need fairness and equality besides the need for safety of the competitor.
There must be more weight classes!

Klitschko, Peter, Haye etc they wouldn't have to go up to over 300 pounds. They'd be capable of beating him without putting any weight on at all.

There should be height classes too!
    It's not fair if a 6' 300 lbs heavyweight has to fight a 6'3 300lb heavyweight.

Yes, and regional and city champions as well, all for the championship limit, no different than a world title, and all the different organizations should have their versions of these titles.

This would definitely give Klitschko fans a boost for their historical H2H arguments. "Clearly Wlad would be too much for a prime Tyson. Who else unified belts in over fifty different divisions?"
