1. Hes old 2. known in UK (because of KTFO LL) 3. He speaks english (easy event to hype on Sky Sports tv - trash talks, T-shirts etc.) 4. #5 WBA (?) 5. David Haye is a gaye, right ?? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99z45lXAo2o[/ame]
Haye ripped Wlad for fighting Rahman (who was a mandatory for Wlad when Povetkin pulled out in 2008 ) as a "mandatory bum" who is "over-the-hill, just coming for a pay check". Now we're talking about a three years older, even worse version of Rahman. However, I bet Haye and some of his more delusional fans would now argue "Oh wait, look Rahman is a mandatory, we can't criticize Haye, he has to fight him!!! Rahman is a tough veteran!!!!!" :deal
Actually, people wouldn't buy into it after the Harrison debacle. At this stage the general public are just frustrated that a Haye - Klitschko fight can't be made and I think Haye knows he needs a credible opponent until something can be thrashed out. Why he didn't go after Adamek is beyond me as this would have generated a huge interest. Adamek looks to be facing Klitschko now and Haye needs to be careful that he isn't resigned to the sidelines watching the heavyweight division go by.
I cant stand boxing fans like you We all want Haye v Klitchko With all the politics and rubbish fans have had to put up with recently which has resulted in no top matches being made, you start this thread No-one wants to see haye v Rahman, it would just be another Harrison v Haye joke of a fight As fight fans we deserve more, living off joke fights while the best fights go away isn't good enough and we shouldn't except it You buying this fight for $50 PPV feeds money into the fighters, promoters and managers pockets, so they can protect their fighter with minimal risk towards losing and the result is boxing fans having our dream fights fall into obscurity
Yeah, that's a better question. Rahman seems pretty much done. 2006 was his last hurrah, when he was in very good shape and motivated. He just wants the chance of one last payday now, and while I respect that desire, it doesn't mean I'd like to see this match-up.
Why doesn't Haye just **** off and call an early retirement? Honestly, who gives a **** about a ****ing useless mandatory if he's retiring in October and is done with the Klits.
Because Rahman doesn’t deserve another shot for the title. Why not give shot to James Toney. That would be much more competive
:good Just imagine who will be the heavyweight world champions when Haye and the Klitchkos....... atsch
as haye fans, we laugh and try to argue, but sadly we all know this is good logic and i would not be surprised if this fight happened. It would be a step up for Harrison that's for sure. ANd we certainly know him in Britain.
