But he can inevitably punch.. Haye would have the smart money on him, but Hide is the kind of guy who could always throw a spanner in the works..
people really didnt know how good hide was in his prime. very athletic, very agile and had amazing reflexes and was aggresive with his work aswell. his record suggest that he is a banger but to be honest he just times his man right. he sets peopel up with a right hand to the body to keep there gloves moving then he will land a right hand then follow up with a booming left hook. of course if he was crushed and harrased then he would be stopped as he couldnt get out of the way of every shot. you had to have a solid defence oh this fight...haye would win in less than 5 rounds.
I can only imagine the look of sheer terror on Hide's face if he ever found himself in the unfortunate position of facing David Haye. The first solid jab that lands on Hide's chin will be enough end the fight. The thought of a full power shot landing of Hide's jaw is quite disturbing. Although I've never been Herbie Hide's biggest fan, I wouldn't wish this on the guy.
Because Haye is moving up to Heavyweight and Hide only wants to fight at Cruiser these days seems the obvious answer... A much better question is how about Hide vs Enzo? Promoters love a string of knockouts, even regardless of quality, and if Herbie continues as he's doing he could get involved in the mix for the 3 cruiser titles that Haye drops.
That is exactly what I have been thinking! I'd love to see Hide-Haye, two huge punchers with average chins.
Hide would knock Haye out! Vitali knocked Hide out in London for the WBO title, second round knockout.
Legalize it and I'll advertise it. I think both guys shake eacxhother but Hide ends up stopped in round 7.
