This new guy is just like Tarver, both delusional. This guy thinks Mosley will be fine at 160 pounds while Tarver thinks he's the greatest fighter of all times cause he ko Roy Jones.

The guy said Shane could get big money at 160:patsch

Ya -- right -- Shane is going to leave one of the deepest divisions, so he can make more money in a barren wasteland -- makes sense to me:nut

Even if it's true that he can get big money at 160 . . . Mosley will be starched by the 160 lber boys . . . there's a reason why he went back down to 147 from 154. :D

Are you telling me Mosley vs Williams or Mosley vs Pavlik at 160 wouldn't get him big money? :patsch The thread was about how would Mosley go at the weight. I think he could pick off some of the weaker contenders.

I've suggested that Shane move up to fight Pavlik before. It would seem to suffice many of his criteria including a big payday, a significant legacy fight, and it would be against a guy who will stand in front of him and won't be difficult to find.

i actually don't think hbo would shell out much money for ssm at 160 against either pwilly or pav. "much" being the key word there. they would make an offer, but in no way would ssm make more money doing that than if he fought someone...anyone...at ww. and the little money hbo did offer wouldnt be enough for shane to want to end his career on a low note b/c pwilly and pav put him out to pasture at 160 (no shame in that either for ssm but it is what it is)

Mosley is a match for anyone bar williams at 147. Thats where he should remain at, more power at his natural weight of 147 than at 154. Floyd should balls up & take him on. Its just as big as pac/cotto. The man seriously doesn't back himself enough.

Mosley winning a title at 160 is not that crazy of an idea. The MW division is extremely weak right now. I think Mosley can definitely beat a guy like Sturm.

There isn't much money there, really. He wouldn't be too bloated at MW; he weighed in at 160 on fight night against Margo, funnily enough. But he's too short to compete with the likes of Pavlik. I'm sure he could steal a title off Sturm, though. MW is dry as a bone apart from that.

Shane was really too small for 154 as evidenced by his fights with Winky Wright. He would have a hard time fighting at 160. That said - he should have the boxing skills to confound a guy like Pavlik - but he doesn't have the size to hurt the middleweight champ.
