    He'd certainly be a worthy inclusion on it, if that's what you're getting at.


    Ps: A mostly fantastic list. Can barely argue with any of the names on it. More or less spot on placings too. :yep

    You jumped the gun and missed many fighters as I knew you would. For example, why no Galindez yet you put in that passive lamb Benitez? You also left out a few obvious choices; Wilde & Villa. Roy Jones belongs high in that top ten. Who cares what's left of him in his old age,,don't you think 15 years of dominance is enough? I judge fighters by what they did in their primes. Jones would mop the floor with most of your top ten choices.

    Oh, and since Roy Jones is still active, he's not rated...or did you miss the note at the top of the page that said "NO active fighters included on the list"?

    Why wait till then? Are you waiting to see what else he can do as an old man?

    We've already seen the best of Roy Jones so there's no reason why he shouldn't be evaluated now. He's won 4 titles, we know he isn't going to win any more.

    Because it's my ****ing list, and I wait until a fighter is completely retired before assessing his worth. If Jones does do something of note over the next year or so, it may enhance his legacy, In any event, he's not on the list until he retires for good. Simple as.

    Calm down, will you. In reality you're following the same set of rules the boxing fraternity uses.

    Drew, you can't tell me you wouldn't put Duran in a p4p list until the time he quit boxing when he's walking trudging along as a fat 168 pounder. :lol:

    If you think about it, that's not the best rule to follow because in boxing it's never safe to assume a fighter is retired. For instance, how long did you actually wait until you were sure Leonard was REALLY retired? :D

    And in his case the boxing pundits say that his later losses don't affect his standing which means they have already evaluated him.

    Roberto was around since the 60's and by 1989 that was as far as he was going to go. Duran was 38 and Jones has to be pushing 40 and that age they aren't going anywhere but down so just be smart and do things my way-rank him now.

    Ortiz at #96 is absolutely ridiculous and there is no justifying it. He is at least 50 spots higher.
