If Dana White truly wanted to integrate a boxer into the UFC he could reach out to these boxers. All have significant competitive backgrounds in martial arts. James Toney can't even bend over at the waist. And he is to be the representative of boxing?
Toney will be a joke UNLESS the match will be for one fight against Kimbo....then it is a PPV bonanza (but still a circus move).

He wants Toney so he can discredit boxing.

He knows if he gets a legit heavyweight in there who can punch, they're gonna KO the **** out of people.

Toney can't get fights that pay well anymore, so he's cheap. It's my understanding that Toney reached out to him, not the other way around.

Why the hell would someone like Povetkin give up high six figure paydays to fight in UFC, where he might not be successful? Even the best fighters there don't make as much as he does.

Toney won't be protected or brought along slow by the UFC. He will be thrown to the wolves and embarrassed.
    What a moron!

I assume that Toney is standing in the bread line along with Holyfield, Hearns and countless other athletes who could not manage their millions.

the top boxers wouldnt get out of bed for that chump change

for a vitali to make as much money from ufc he would need to fight in 2 in a row, get fight, ko and submission of the night each time!

dana white needs to realise that culturally speaking ufc appeals to a small demographic and i personally feel once the novelty wears off for a lot of people they get bored

another factor is that as the sport evolves people become stronger in all areas and weaknesses that lead to big stoppages or serious style matchups that automatically lead to better fights are dissapearing meaning a lot of boring wrestling on the ground
