Valuev has a fight scheduled for 12/20 vs TBA. Vladimir now needs an opponent for his fight on 12/13.

Valuev should offer to take the fight. Klitschko is the man you want to fight to make money, and Vladimir wants this fight. This fight in all logic should happen.

Let's see, Valuev has a fight scheduled for 12/20 in Germany and doesn't have an opponent.

Vladimir has a fight scheduled for 12/13 in Germany and doesn't an opponent. Make the damn fight happen!

Valuev's management asked for $7 Million in order to face Wlad. Unlikely to happen

    1. They have contracts with rival TV companies in Germany. It would be like seeing HBO let De la Hoya fight a big opponent in Showtime.

    2. The IBF wants Wlad to fight an IBF contender. Wlad doesn't fight an IBF contender since 2007.

    3. It would be a huge fight in Europe and needs much more time for planning and promotion.

Povetkin was also with the same rival network yet he was going to fight Wlad.

Only desperate guys take fights at short notice. No way does a guy with some options like Valuev take a fight with someone as dangerous as Wladimir Klitschko on such short notice. Only someone looking to pad their retirement fund, like Maskaev or Rahman, will consider it seriously.

What!!! Povetkin has the same promoter as Valuev, and the same network televises their fights.

    RIght.

King won't risk losing his precious last HW belt, as he knows Valuev would have a snowball's chance in hell in winning against Wladimir.

Both fighters need an opponent, and this fight is sorely needed, as it would further unify the division................... but fact is, King and Valuev don't want to get their ass whipped and lose their WBA title. Period.

King just lost one of his only two titles to a K Brother in Vitali, so I doubt he'll go down that road, again.

King is probably biting nails in half over losing the title Peter had to a #$@#@#@ K brother.

Let's be real about it, shall we?:good

Both brothers want the fight. They are probably fighting right now over who is going to fight Valuev.

Vitali says he expects his next fight to either be against Lennox Lewis (for 25 million dollars!) or Valuev . So, maybe 7 million (if that claim is correct) could happen for Valuev.

Vitali could be ready by late december, he took absolutely no damage. I don't remember Sam Peter landing any punches. Vitali says he always stays in shape anyway.

Vlad should tell him to go f' off. Maskaev turned down 2.5 million dollars to fight Klitschko and fought Okhello in Moscow instead. He had his chance and turned it down.
