Yes please, Not sure if Ruiz Flan chin can protect him from Deontay bombs but it will be fun to see if he can eat shots like chips & salsa refills & drown Deontay in guacamole!
I would really like to see this. I'd go for Ruiz, if he he gets into good shape. He's very hard to tag with an overhand right, a quality counter puncher and seems to have a genuine iron chin (yes, AJ put him down, but he was never hurt in any of the two fights despite taking AJ:s best). If Ruiz managed to cut ca 50 lbs fat without weakening himself, I'd back him to clean out the division. Sadly, we're in all likelihood never going to see that Ruiz, though.
I hope we get that down the line. But Ruiz have to show something in between. No point in him coming in 270+ lbs again, plod to a wide decision loss and then make excuses. He'll have to show he's turned a corner and really wants it.
Ruiz has fast hands and a good chin, and those would serve him well vs Wilder. Yes, Wilder can certainly be outboxed, but I think, as usually happens, especially against a slow footed opponent, he would eventually catch Ruiz and hurt him. Wilder KO 9, likely behind on cards.
If this will end on cards most likey Wilder by decision. If via stoppage, then there if motivated for 6 months Ruiz in good shape most likely. Ruiz isn't going to win him on cards. Wilder and Ruiz now both might had been improved versions.
You've provided nothing but more opinions which align with what Furys promoters intended to fill your head with
Agree, Ruiz showed he has a chin vs. AJ. But he has to come in better shape than he did vs. AJ 2. Like you think, If he does he has a good chance to stop the Excuser.
Ruiz would put a beating on Wilder for most of the fight, get dropped and miraculously leave with a draw, similar to Fury-Wilder 1
The classic Fatty vs Skinny matchup. This is on my fight wish list for 2021. Prediction, hmmm. Wilder will be hungrier for victory and his right hand will bail him out in the last quarter of the fight.
