Why not Williams vs. Clottey in a unification?

The others are taking a break alright but they're set to fight this year anyway. Arum made it official recently that Margarito and Cotto will both headline a future card fighting "decent" opponents and if both win a rematch is on early next year.

Watch the last Quintana fight, the commentators say that Williams had problems making weight for the first one.And yes they said they will comeback at WW after this,my guess his trainer gets hard whils seeing him struggle with the weight:D

Logic tells me that Clottey and Williams should fight then. The winner will meet Margarito or Cotto down the road in a big unification fight.

Clottey was doing a good job of transitioning between defense and offense before he hurt his hand.

Yeah, that's a perfect move right now, don't know if they will go for it but they could. That will only make a possible rematch with Margarito even bigger, if Margarito and Williams come out victorious in their next two fights of course.

Didn't Kellerman say that when Clottey fought Judah? How'd that fight turn out? I doubt Clottey faked that hand injury. He can clearly hear him complaining about it after the 4th round. He was up in the fight at that point. I don't see why he would fake an injury.

By your logic then Margarito didn't beat Clottey, it wasn't a beating there either.

Wake the **** up, the man lost and had 4 other losses too, live with it. You don't have to KO to win in boxing, there's something called going the distance and winning on points and that's what Williams did to Margarito.
