Based on your last couple responses to me, I'm guessing you are a big Holyfield fan and rank him above Lewis? Fair enough. Clearly I don't, but reasonable people can disagree about it. Regardless of ranking him vs Lewis, you have admit Holyfield came up second H2H against the two best SHW's he faced and never definitively dominated the division, even if one can reasonably argue the he was the best HW in the division. I mean no insult to him, if there is a "PPFP", "pound and power for pound" HW scale, i.e. achievement in the division despite size and power disadvantage, Holyfield would probably be GOAT.

Yes, i rate him above Lewis, i have Holyfield at #8 and Lewis at #9 and a lot of other knowledgeable boxing fans rate him above Lewis too.

Styles make fights and Holyfield vs Bowe would have always been a close fight but that doesn't mean that Bowe was a better fighter than Holyfield.

Imo Holyfield from 1989-1993 would have beaten Lewis and i only need to look at their two fights in 1999 where
Lewis was at his peak and Holyfield was a shell of his former self.

Thanks.:D And fair enough, but I genuinely think Usyk is beyond special, and far better than both Byrd and Haye, skillwise equal to Holyfield and much faster, and has the potential to be a transcendent Pacquiao/Mayweather like figure at Heavyweight, a featherfisted for a HW master schooler.

I am fiiiiiinnnnaaaaallly beginning to sit down and actually 'study' Usyk. Most I have gone on before is just highlights and short clips. Now I am trying to do an actual study study on him, for the lead in to a fight Im pretty hyped about (bellew)

First I want to say, I think Ive finally become a supporter

I really dig the excitement hes bringing to cruiser and to hopefully heavyweight, I really like his true warrior mentality outside the ring (basically.... a 'real one' that is seriously going after the killers around him and not looking to maneuver his way around the sport) I dig his 'aura' and am very interested in seeing it tested.

I am not close to done on watching him but I feel Ive 'seen enough' to make the basis of my opinion.

I can see the quality boxing he does, I can see what has made him effective, I have to view more to see more wrinkles in his game and to see other dimensions present, which I will do, but as of right now, I think hes a very solid solid fighter, I look forward to the Bellew fight, in which of course, hes expected to win impressively,

I think he can move up to heavyweight and have some success their based of course on his skills and boxing brain.

I solidly do not think he beats AJ, and while I think its competetive throughout, I do not think he beats Wilder. I think he can have good fights and solid wins with just about everyone else, though I think povetkin and ortiz would be worthy and lively opponents.

I am really looking forward to his assault on the heavyweight division though. One thing is for sure is it will be exciting.

:D The triggering Usyk causes is great. It will get even better after he moves up and schools these heavyweights.

And the best part is, he’s actually improving.

Physical dimensions plus what comes with moving up, power and punch resistance. It will be interesting to see how well he does up at HW, certainly.

Hold your horses with the Bellew thing. Remember, most of you would call Bellew a "blown up light heavyweight," and this time you'd be correct, so lets not start throwing him into the HW top 10 in a couple months for beating one person outside of it.

What about his wins over Joe Joyce & Junior Fa?

    They're big guys.

I think AJ will instruct Fast Eddie to make the fight.

    That should move it along.

    No no And no
    This is AJs era
    Joshua splatters Usyks jaw
    Usyk can’t hurt AJ
AJ takes a punch to destroy Usyk
AJ by savage and borderline criminal KO

Usyk would win every round against Wilder.

Anyone citing Breidis...please. Guy won 4 rounds and got some hometown cooking to avoid being completely embarrassed.

Yeah, that's basically how I see him. I'd make him an underdog to AJ, Wilder or Fury, slight favorite to 50/50 against Sasha and Ortiz, and favored to greatly favored against anyone else. I wouldn't be completely shocked if he pulled an upset over one of the three main SHWs, though. He's clearly the most accomolished CW to come out of the division since Holyfield, and it will make for fascinating viewing.

    Only had 15 fights.
I think he will be an absolute monster in the coming years. These heavyweights are in a lot of trouble.

While CW is historically weak, it is fair to say that Usyk is the CW GOAT. The only argument being that Holyfield was the better boxer. But Usyk definitely has the resume.

Usyk vs any of the British heavyweights is a standalone event.
But they can definitely have him on the undercard.
