My take on the story listed. They say the signed "the contract" two days into negotiations. That means negotiations weren't over. Sounds like they made a proposal, nothing more. They don't even claim that terms were agreed to. Yet people fell for this one? atsch
I dont think he is afraid. Just like Vic is not afraid of a rematch. I just think it's a combination of poor management and Nonito not being very clever.
man, with the way donaire's career has been moving aftr that vic win. i'm starting to forget that i am a fan of his. his talent is just gonna be wasted if he ain't gonna face better oppositions. btw, i hope he loses his p4p spot. he might realize that he has to start doing something if that happens.
Maybe his artificially high ranking is a ploy. Perhaps De La Hoya thinks there is a chance Donaire can be the next PacMan. So Oscar pulls some strings, gets Donaire ranked high, builds him up - then takes over managment. If we see Donaire jump camp soon that will prove my awesome conspiracy theory. :hey
This isn't too far off what I reckon, with an emphasis on the managment. Nonito is an intelligent fighter - It would be nice to see him looked after by competant management.
LOL Anyways, if he is not fighting Darchinyan then who??? This is some baby back bs. I hope the hate for *******s doesn't rub off on Nonito just cuz he is Filipino.
Donaire has admitted difficulty in making 115. In fact, he was actually targeting a match with Montiel at 115. Vic should not worry, there's Drian Francisco in the offing anyway.
