Floyd and his camp were the first to act on the PED rumour. The first time I personally heard it was by RICANs prior to the cotto fight. What can I say, I might be into boxing a little more than you. Still I see it as complimentary also and do not see how they didn't. A clean person would take it just like you said it "I'm so good they think im cheating". The way they reacted was not like a clean person would react. A clean person takes the test and takes it to the accuser in the ring. It is clearly understandle why someone would want pac to prove he is clean. Just like Barry Bonds who never was caught, his history seems to make people uneasy though he had enormous talent.
Refusing a test doesn't say you are clean either. I'm just letting people know why it is UNDERSTANDABLE that someone would feel he was on something. Saying the accusations are baseless is like saying that BARRY BONDS accusations are baseless. Pac has been doing things since he moved up in weight that could cause one to think he was on something. As I said before, the first time I heard it was prior to the cotto fight from rican's. If cotto himself had came out with it then it would have made headlines everywhere. Saying that floyd's camp were the first to spread the rumour is a lie. They knew about the rumour for sure but were not the first to spread it. They were the first to OFFICIALLY ACT ON IT. As for those names you threw out. None of thier late careers are simular to pac's. None of them.
Here's the difference between MARK, BONDS and PAC. The allegations pertaining to Mark and Barry were coming from a RELIABLE source within the leauge who had evidence to support those harsh and damaging accusations. So with that situation there was more than a solid foundation to support the allegations against Barry and Mark. With manny there was NONE of that! It was pure irresponsible accusations spread with intent to damage knowing there was NOTHING at all they could produce or render to support their comments. Which is the only reason why I call the allegations "baseless". Whether or not what you say is "true"....that some rican's originated the allegations before Floyd and camp mayweather "officially" made it public has NOTHING at all to do with the "DELIVERY" of the message and the "ACTIONS" proceeding those allegations. Those ricans, whoever they are that originated the story never came out with it and Cotto never had any concerns about Manny either with how confident he was going in there with Manny. And NONE of those fighters I mentioned had the EARLY career of Manny either. Manny's path to this "late career" was based on bascially having this incredible unpolished diamond that never had the resources or means to reach his full potential as a fighter. When he came to america he already had a good career and did pretty great all things considered. But Roach had the diamond in the rough that he polished up and has produced one of boxings best ever. It had a lot to do with perfect timing and the perfect elements coming together at the right time as symbolism for Freddie and Manny. But they all had one thing in common. They were great...they proved it by their performances and solidified it by moving up in weight and still dominating.
I love how sometimes people are so gullible or lead to being fools when someone spewing rumors from a known crackhead and they all fell for it. Is it because they exactly have the same agenda?
Now I know the real reason why Floyd retired the first time. He got scared so he retired. That make sense 'cause he's contemplating about it now.
I don't even know how much it matters anymore. Overall, compared to how many are said to be cheating, which most think most are, and given how few actually test positive, which means your favorite athlete can still be juiced up to the max and come out clean, and hearing incredible stories of how you can cheat and get away with it, I'm not sure what a clean athlete is to do at this point. They are all under suspicion and even if they continue to test clean, can we really say we are positive they are? Even guys that may have been natural at one point, at some point, could go the other way.
pac and floyd both started at 106lbs in their career. FLoyd was fighting at 140 when Pac was barely at 122. Going by your logic, FLoyd has been juicing his entire boxing career.
