He's better but that doesn't really thoroughly answer the question. I think Mayweather's combination of underrated power, precision, and timing is just something Manny has not experienced. Maybe back before the KO, he'd attempt to blaze through it but now...when he faced that, he became cautious.
So you agree the fight was over in the first round when Manny got caught and tamed with that first right hand?
What could he do? If he went ***** to the wall floyd would have hit him even more if manny opened up and pac would have lost rounds by clearer margins or he could fight in spurts keep hunting keep the rounds close with activity in the judges eyes and pick his shots They chose to do the latter sure going all out would have been great viewing but this aint the movies pac would haved faded and got picked apart down the stretch they were never gona let that happen would have played right into floyds hands dont matter anyway floyd controlled the distance perfect used his jab and right hand like a champ and made it as easy as sparring
I think thats an accurate ****ysis but lets not forget that on this board they claimed Maidana and his all out style gave Floyd trouble therefore he would be no match for Manny. I personally think that if Manny had tried to fight like that he would of got KO'd quick and fast.
maidana is more of a brawler than pac. Pac is more of a boxer puncher id say because he has more technical skill than your maidana type fighter. That being said, Maidana had less to lose. Manny had a whole people behind him. Floyd also seemed to be able to figure manny out quick while maidana being more unorthodox gave him trouble. Also Mayweather has a range that marquez didnt have, manny was able to cut the distance easier on JMM due to the similarity in size.
Honestly #48 was a victim of a God complex one that was put upon him by his over zealous fans and his trainers. He had been built up to this ridiculous level and just wasn't on that level. For years all he heard from fans was that PBF was scared his legs were gone he's not good he can't punch and he bought into it. When the bell rang he quickly found out that PBF was that good he was faster than him smarter than him had better reflexes the better athlete and most importantly had more skills than him. He looked lost and frozen he got taken out of his game from round one and never could adjust to the boxing master the difference of skill level was just too vast. I actually felt sorry for him because he had the weight of a country on him and he just couldn't deliver with unrealistic expectations he was sold a bid of goods that he was superior to PBF but ended up finding out he wasn't in grand fashion. His fans share some of the blame in his loss. So his pride and honor was hurt so badly he had never been so thoroughly dominated, he couldn't believe it, so he had to do something to get it back and that was to make an excuse about an injury. He knew his fans and the media would believe it and eat it up.
Because Pac was psychologically shot. Also injured and considerably past prime. Yet countered Floyd beautifully and earned a draw.
Johnson, please!!! More than one TMT member said that they were SHOCKED at how much bigger Floyd was, how much smaller Pac was, and proceeded to predict early KOs. Floyd himself said that Pac looked SHOCKED at how much bigger Floyd was when they had their first press conference.
Okay, now use your own eyes...and when you do I'm sure you will see that Floyd does not tower over him.
Floyd was the only that was hurt. Pac landed the telling blows. Floyd's own daddy called him a coward. :hi:
