I never said Mayweather was scared of Manny, never ever.

I did say he appeared nervous during the weigh-in. But, I wasn't out of place to say that because Kellerman, Roy Jones, and another boxer who I forget said the same thing.

    Didn't you hear?

Pacman had only one arm, a deflated lung, a shriveled testicle, half his teeth missing, a hangnail, blocked nose and only seasons 1-7 of Friends on Blu-ray. Not even the full box set!!

    Insurmountable odds.

    Timing of course.
It's not that he hits hard, he just times you very very well, it stings and stuns you for a few fraction of a second.
It will never KD nor KO anyone, but it is enough to keep anyone honest.
Pac came in with the wrong mindset of countering the best counterpuncher in the business.
It doesn't mean that Floyd had heavy hands.
But if you watch round 11 closely, you will see that Floyd's punches were hard enough to keep Pac in a shell and not exchange.

He got cautious after Mayweather hit him hard and very fast with the two counters in round 1, this set the pattern for the fight, if he hadn't been flattened by Dinamita I think he would've took it to floyd and done a lot better, Mayweather can knock him out but he wouldn't commit like Marquez always did so it was unlikely.

Here is the bottom line truth. Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum all knew from the jump that Floyd is highly skilled and a prodigy in boxing. They knew they either needed a knockout or to steal rounds in order to beat Floyd. I said from the jump that Floyd would throw more punches than Manny and that Manny would not be throwing punches in bunches.

Some of you have never boxed. Punches hurt. Jabs hurt but you deal with it. Just bc a fighter doesn't buckle or cover up doesn't mean they aren't hurt by the punch. Manny felt Floyd's power in round 1 and he didn't like it. He also seen that Floyd was much faster than him in every way mainly do to Floyd's quickness and reflexes. Manny didn't walk Floyd down bc he simply can't. He has no jab, can't cut the ring off, can't out work Floyd in the foot work department. Had they fought years ago Floyd would have dominated him years ago. Always has been a bad matchup for Manny.

Best post of the thread. PBF has enough power to get your respect. #48 was outgunned in this fight. He was beat in speed reflexes footwork and skill. I told people for years that PBF would beat #48 to the punch all night long and that he had the better reflexes but they would say you're crazy. #48 has never seen an athlete like PBF before he's used to being the better athlete in the ring but this time he wasn't and he was also in with someone with better skills to. It was a recipe for disaster for him whether it be in 2009 2012 2015 or 2035 PBF is a stylistic nightmare for him.

The scary thing is Floyd didn't even have to go into 2nd gear or to plan B. Against Cotto and even Maidana we saw Floyd go to plan B but Manny couldn't even force an adjustment. It's the fight many of us who understand boxing expected to see. I have never at any time thought that Manny was capable of beating Floyd. The gulf in talent is clear to see

This fight just showed you how limited he was and why he never wanted to fight PBF in the first place and ducked him for years because of RBT. He knew he would get outboxed hell he couldn't even beat JMM convincingly in 4 fights yet he was going to beat PBF, please.

And now we can say "the proof is in the pudding." They fought, the evidence is right there. Manny never had anything more than a puncher's chance against Floyd, just like most of his opponents.
