Floyd vs pacquiao will definately be a history fight and will certainly alter a few p4p ATG lists. For me the reason why cotto loses is because hes too static, needs to plant his feet to get off heavy leather and im afraid to say margarito has damaged him. I havent seen that complete confindence in cotto in the ring that i saw from him in the gomez fight where he fougt a damn near perfect fight. It was like his timing was spot on and he was so confident that he could beat his opponent or knock him out at anytime he wanted.

If there's nothing then boxing is dead and if there's a lot of support then fanboys ruin everything. :nut

Better to have too much support regarding a few fighters than have nothing.

that is just a title though...when he beats cotto then he and PBF fight for p4p #1...of course he is right now on paper...his wins are great but is he really the best fighter in the world...REALLY...if JMM could outbox him several rds what can PBF do

Was David Diaz the best. Probably not but he was close to it. Juan or Campbell was considered the man. But you have to be truthful and realize Juan was cleaning up in a division who had seen the absence of it's biggest fighters. The ones who were drawing all the attention and making the big exciting lightweight fights. Castillo, Coralles and Casa were done or moving up when Juan grabbed three belts.
Oscar to me is still a great win. My reasoning is he just one every round against Forbes 3 months prior weighing in at 150. A year earlier Oscar battled Floyd to a SD at 154. He was more active leading up to this fight than he had been in 4 years. No rust and body should have been well conditioned.
He was also fighting in such a high weight class that was unknown and we had no idea he could carry the weight. Floyd and Pac both had very good wins against Hatton and Hoya. Pac was undoubtedy more impressive. It's his style. As far as weights and comfort zones I believe Hatton was as much affected at 147 for Floyd as Oscar was at 147 for Pac.

Diaz wasnt the best, so pacquiao as a great fighter did what he was supposed to do against a beltholder and that is totally outclass him and brutally stop him. Marquez fought better opponents in Juan and Casa and as such he had closer more competitive fights.
