plus he has mastered the technique of throwing combinations while coordinating it with a crazy footwork. this version of pac would kill the featherweight/ superfeatherweight version head to head. the difference in style and defensive manuever is so big, i couldn't recognize the old pac anymore

Manny looked severely drained, his face looks far healthier today than back then.

He's improved a lot, he's not the same buzz saw as in 2001, he's more controlled, picks his shots, improved right hand, and better timing.

is like having miguel cotto fighting at 175, sounds crazy right, cause thats his natural weight. Now the difference between Pac and the rest is that when he starts a camp he can concentrate on building a fight plan while others use it to just get to certain weight. Pacquiao knows he can dominate everyone if they let him stay at around 145lbs.

Agreed, as good as he was before I still don't like to watch his old fights anymore.

Feel like I'm getting cheated out of seeing him in his Prime. Diaz and later = Prime Pac.

I been saying this for years. These guys come into a fight after draining themselves to hell to make weight and think being the bigger man on the night is gonna make a difference. It don't work like that, you kill yourself to make weight and then dehydrate yourself you are a fraction of what you could be at a higher weight.

lol, i dont think he's ever been on PEDS. He's always looked ripped & chiseld cuz he's a training maniac. On 24/7, Alex Ariza said that Pac is at 80% "Pacquiao shape", which is about 100% compared to others.

Attributed to extended distractive stay in the Phillipines, answering to political agendas & entertainment crap... Ariza was getting really pissed off and started to swear when Arum had Pac fly to Los Vegas for a "political" appearance, during their training camp

cuz usually they feel its advantageous to squeeze in a weight class lower so they'll have a size & strength advantage. Not always true though. I always wrestled in my natural weight and never suffered from strength or stamina loss, and never had to put my body under physical stress to lose weight

  9. then why did it take him 11 rounds to beat up barrera? why did morales beat him at a lower weight class? why couldnt he stop Marquez but he beat the life of Cotto and Margarito? why did torrecampo knock him out? let me tell u why: it was because he was starving and dehydrated. after u work out, youre supposed to eat well and drink plenty of water. common sense!!

pac was fast and powerful in his featherweight days but all that was raw physical skills and not yet molded into a fine fighting technique that he has today.

in his velasquez fight, he only began to pick his shots and position himself to set traps, in his larios fight, he was beginning to throw combinations and move defensively. i thought i'd seen the best of him at the third morales fight but i was surprised to see a completely different pac when he moved up to 135, that pac was a more balanced and intelligent fighter than he was at the lower weights

he wasn't starving at the first barrera and morales fight, he was moving up in weight in those fights as well. compare pac's style in the first morales fight to his style today and you wouldn't recognize him from himself

That's not his natural weight, your body compensates when you starve yourself. That's why so many fighters balloon up after their fights, it's the brain's defensive mechanism.

Although that might help, I doubt that's the main reason. Like someone said on here, if Cotto was to fight in his "natural weight" he would be fighting at at least 160lbs...he would get his ass kicked there. I think Pac is just exceptionally gifted that allows him to fight much bigger guys. Pac should be fighting at 140lbs...that's his natural fighting weight. He would absolutely destroy everbody there though.
