This are my views on why pac is number 1.: There are 3 factors contributing to this: 1. the extraordinary accomplishments prior to the reign in this division(130 pnds) that also added to the fighter's present stock in the same division. 2.the established names on the same division(130 pnds) or the other division that either went up (like larios) or down to the same division(130 pnds.) or within a catch weight that the fighter had defeated. 3. charisma. this not only bought large amount of fame and fortune to the fighter because of his popularity but also conributed to boxing's overall popularity. it's reciprocal. he contributes, he's rewarded.(thus, the #1 p4p) thus pac for me is the number 1 in jr.lw div.:thumbsup
The fact he has beaten the best? The three reasons you gave were right, but not the reason he is the best a 130lbs. Wins over Morales and Larios. A draw against the second best fighter, and a win against another great, both who now compaign at 130lbs. At 130lbs, he clearly has the best recent resume. That's why he is #1.
You didn't really make a case. That was just a lot fanboy blather. Your conetention is essentially that Pac should be considered #1 at 130 because of what he and the fighters whom he faced at Jr. LW did in other weight classes and because he's popular and exciting. Well Pac is popular and and he always puts on a great show, but that fact like his accomlishments in different weight classes have **** all to do with how he should be ranked at 130.
pac jumped 8 weight classes: extraordinary. defeated the likes of ledwaba(p4p# 12 before), sasakul, hussein, lucero, 3k, mab, and julio and a draw with jmm: extraordinary. added to his stock.the boxing world recognizes it also even if those happened and the lower weights. thus the #1 p4p in the current div.
yehey! thom the pac-hater..artycan't accept views can't you? problem is if you can't resort to views you go to hating..
I don't hate Pac at all. I think he can easily establish himself incontrovertibly as the top 130 lber with 1 or 2 more big wins and I have him ranked as #2 P4P (though I don't take issue with people who have him in the top spot). The point of my previous posts was to criticize the extraordinarily weak argument that you made to start this thread.
I rank Pac as the #1 fighter at 130 now, just don't say he is the p4p best. MAB was without a doubt the man in that division up until he lost to Marquez. Marquez beat the man, but take away that Barrera win and he's done jack**** at jr. lightweight (and his whole career as well). So IMO Pac is the #1 fighter at 130.. he's always been the best at 126/130 if you discount the fact that he has no world title anyway.
