They are two of my favorites boxers nowdays. But they shoudnt meet in the ring.Non sense. Pacquiao, the best p4p,will be facing somebody bigger and at the same time fast and strong.Martinez is not a robotic Margarito.Pac best conditioning should be around 140 and martinez at 160...those are 20 lbs difference. If Martinez agree to go down lower than 154 it will be be a suicide because he walks around 180. I think martinez should shop around 160,168...go after Abraham,Froch,Johnson,Direll-if comes back from his ***** coma-Ward.There are names there to be found. If Pac cant get Floyd, then go after Bradley,Khan,Maidana,Ortiz,Devon. But they should never collide, its not good for them..will be bad to see a drained Martinez and even worse to see an overmatched Pacquiao.
The size, reach, and height difference is not that much. The weight differential is a bit too much though, though still manageable by Pac standards, methinks.. Speed is equal, power-Sergio. Fascinating match up but may be a little bit too much for Pac and Sergio knows that. Credit to this classy and brave Argentine though: others would have called out boxing's posterboy for a mega payday after such tremendous win but he seems to be looking to cement his legacy rather than just the money.
Even though Pacquiao's climb in weight has been astonishing, there is no way he's going to fight him for the middleweight belt, and I seriously doubt they'd even fight at jr middle. Only way I see it, is if Martinez comes back down to welterweight
I hope Pac doesn't try to move up and fight Martinez. Pac has nothing to prove by moving up, the only truly meaningful fight for him now is with PBF
I'd hate to see Pac move up to fight Martinez. He's one big-man that shouldn't be challenged. He should stay at 140-147 and grab a shot at Floyd. Nothing more is required of him.
