Freddie is one person who isn't all there mentally. In a literal sense. The man has been bashed over the head to the point that he not longer has a functioning brain. Now, use you're own brain and stop putting Freddie on a pedestal. 8 division titles is extraordinary. Have you forgotten that Pacquiao was the lineal Flyweight champ. I loved when Max Kellerman said "Guys this isn't complicated, it's not hard stuff, he's a former Lineal Flyweight Champ".
except when sensible people who carefully examine the fight bring the REAL fact up, that PAC actually outclassed Fluid mayweather in their fight.. of course this isn't even taking into account the ILLEGAL IV fluid took, and the fact pac was injured, fought effectively with one arm, and denied LEGAL painkiller.
Why in the hell would he need to fight Oscar again after he beat him convincingly? Oscar also was trying to get the lion's share of the purse for the rematch and PBF told him to go **** himself. PBF couldn't fight Cotto at WW because Cotto was a Top rank fighter so stop with that nonsense along with all the other top rank fighters you mentioned. The minute Cotto got away from Arum the fight happened. Funny how that works. Mosley? You mean the same Mosley who turned PBF down because he said he needed to get his tooth fixed and go on Vacation. We all have it on video he said this in the ring after a fight in the post fight interview. Yet it was PBF's fault the fight didn't happen right? Margarito is a disgraced cheat who isn't even worth talking about. PBF would have shut his ass out and would have received very little credit doing so. With that said http://www.espn.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=2420382 Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million. Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in. "That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road." But the again don't let facts get in the way of a your troll fueled troll response. Pac he turned PBF down because of testing Roach as Roach stated in this video 2:38 but you know more than Roach does right? in. This content is protected After that it became a whole Top Rank vs PBF thing that went on too long but when they were closest to their primes it was Pac who was at fault. Williams is a guy I can say he didn't fight but after Williams beat Margo he immediately lost to Quintana rematched him and moved up in weight to MW. With that said what top WWs actually fought Williams? Not Cotto not Pac not Mosley either.
Regarding this subject Roach has more credibility than anyone here. He's an insider and Pac's long time trainer and friend. Him saying PBF is the best fighter of this era speaks volumes. You can't try and discredit that because it destroys your whole life.
Roach knows boxing and he knows greatness when he sees it. That's why he said pbf was the best fighter of this era. You can't dismiss him as crazy because you don't like it. I remember years ago when pac fought Hatton when asked about fighting pbf roach said they weren't ready and he needed more time to get pac ready for pbf. Roach already knew pac would never be ready because pbf was in a different class and Pac couldn't even beat JMM clearly and that PBF was the very best this era had to offer
Seek medical attention. This fight happened over 2 years ago. PBF UD Pac now then and forever deal with it.
So what? He was also stopped 3 times lost to PBF h2h and never clearly beat JMM in 4 fights. Roach the Ring and ESPN have spoken PBF is greater.
Roach and ESPN aren't the end all be all... The fight wasn't decisive as it would have been in determining legacies as it would have been had it taken in place 4-5 years prior when it was FAR MORE relevant... And even if Floyd had his number at any stage of their careers(certainly possible) Pac still has a case for being the better fighter due to how he surged through the weight classes, won countless titles at higher weights despite being dwarfed by most of his opposition. It's not as cut and dry of a debate as either side likes to make it out to be. I like to think Pac had the more impressive career, but Floyds was more flawless if that makes sense.
Yes he went through more weight classes but he lost and got KTFO while doing so. On top of that he lost to PBF H2H for fighter of the era. He's the second best fighter of this era and there's no shame in that. But you can't rank him over a guy who went through 5 weight classes lineal in 4 undefeated in 3 different decades never knocked down lost only a few rounds in his prime arguably the best defensive fighter of all time GOAT at 130 beat Pac H2H and tooled the guy Pac never beat clearly in JMM. Longevity of excellence and his H2H against Pac is what puts him over. Roach ESPN and the Ring all of which have more credibility than anyone here. What they say will go down in the history books and be remembered not what some overzealous Pac fans on a boxing forum think.
1. Losses hasn't stopped Mayweather from fighting opponents - i.e Baldomir-Judah. 2. 'Not Pac' - Pac was at 130 when Paul Williams was at 147, idiot. 3. Margarito went on to beat Cotto in the first fight and also won the IBF world title before that. A legit opponent for Mayweather. 4. Mayweather ran into retirement because he didn't want the winner of Margarito-Williams, or even the loser (all before the Quintana fight). Williams was 152lbs in the weigh in for one of the fights at 154 later on and would've made 147 for Mayweather. Moreover, Mayweather fought at 154 against DLH so the fight could've been made at 154. 5. Cotto was at welterweight whilst Mayweather was (before the loss to Margarito). Mayweather didn't fight him. He ran into retirement. Even after the loss, Cotto immediately got himself a world title again. Mayweather stayed hidden. 6. Mosley was very past it by 2007, who cares about him. He was just a cash out fight for May and Pac. Refuted.
@Pimp C you cretin, as mentioned before, the rankings of these 'credible' sources are jokes. Dispute that. Roach is the worst person to seek a judgement for, he has said the worst BS known to man over the years.
