Why Pascal gets no discredit for fighting bhop?

If Pascal manages to beat Hopkins, it will be one of two ways. Either it will be a horrible ugly close fight which will be given to Pascal because he's the champ at home. People will give Hopkins the moral victory of saying that he would have demolished Pascal in his prime and Pascal's stock will fall slightly.

Or, Pascal is a lot better than I think and wins a wide decision. If it's a clear points win for JP then he gets massive props from me. And he would have improved massively from the Froch fight at SMW and he will be the absolute best at LHW.

 

Fair enough!

 

I think Pascal is in serious danger of pulling a Pavlik against Hopkins, underestimate that man at your own peril.

Edit: In answer to the original question, Hopkins when he fought Calzaghe looked every bit a fighter seeing out his career, he was unimpressive in the ring and considered to be a spoiler who stunk out the place. Calzaghe looked like he was trying to claim some late glory from a guy that he should have been in with 5 years previous.

After Pavlik made the mistake of trying to use Hopkins as a springboard for a Calzaghe fight by showing how much better he looked againt Calzaghes last opponent, he walked right into the lions den and Hopkins proved a point to everyone ... that he's still as dangerous at this age as he ever was.

 

The only thing I'm sure about this fight is that he is NOT underestimating B-Hop. He won't get humiliated.

bhop skooled calzaghe and showed he was overrated and to b honest hopkins is not wat he was but hasnt exactly shown he is shot, he skooled pavlik wen he was ameant to b KOd and hasnt lost since, despite facing poor opposition. His style cud giv pascal problems.

 

cause hopkins is going to win, i think hopkins put on a great performance against calzaghe. i wish people could see just how good it was.

 

Despite popular opinion, i actually think the fight was brilliant. Two clever fighters ad******g and counter-ad******g.

Sorry but Calazaghe/Hopkins fight was a ****ing borefest. One of the most borign fights I have ever seen in my life.

 

Calzaghe did get credit for taking the fight but his hype did not equal the performance.

Also, after winning the title of him his first and only defense was Roy Jones.

Pascal already fought Diacanu and Dawson. He can fight Tocker Pudwill next as a keep busy and it aint a problem

Yep. Froch+Diaconu x2+Dawson x2 (rematch next year)+Hopkins= Résumé already better than Calzaghe's.
