Because he has a very average resume on those divisions, seriously even Cotto's resume at 147 is better.

Even though he was more impressive at 130 - 135 lbs. There can still be an arguement made that defeating the likes of Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Zab Judah, Carlos Baldomir, and Arturo Gatti constitutes a place for him in Ohio.

Why hasn't no one in the welterweight division other than Zab Judah held the "true" welterweight champion? ...

Floyd retired the recognized champion ... No one out there other than Zab can say that.

another Floyd thread damn give it a break the guy has incredible skills and has fought many great fighters.

the only thing i get mad at Floyd is that he's still in his prime he can achieve much more but he has an ego that he is the best **** and that

he could fight mosley now and then fight the winner paquiao if he wins against hatton

ps: he could fight cotto whos still a great force at 147 and has a win over mosley so
you see there are many options for him but he doesnt do ****.

His resume is weak compared to Cotto's?

You Floyd haters kill me and you guys aren't good at hiding your hate.

    He fought Gatti (reigning champion)
    Mitchell (former champion)
    Judah (former champion)
    Baldomir (reigning undisputed/ring magazine champion)
DLH (reigning 154 lb champion - in Floyd's first fight at that weight and only 3 fights at welterweight)
Hatton (reigning 140 undisputed/ring magazine champion)

Cotto hasn't fought any linear champions at 140 or 147

Mosley lost his chance at linear championships when he lost to forrest and to wright and his biggest non lightweight victories were against DLH & Margarito

Margarito will never come closer than he has now to creating a good resume with his biggest welterweight win against Cotto

Cotto hasn't fought anyone of class ... his biggest welterweight win is over Shane Mosley ... the rest of his victories are against guys who haven't made any noise in the welterweight division.
