BJ is a legend who lost a close fight while looking off his game, injured knee, ill and not in the best shape. He certainly deseves an immediate rematch. I like that the UFC makes fighters earn rematches but this is not one of those cases just like Shogun vs Machida is not one of those cases.

BJ fought like a dumbarse and got his arse kicked.

They are worried that someone else would beat Edgar and BJ gets the most shine back by being the next guy who beats Edgar.

However a Edgar vs Diego Sanchez fight would have been an intriguing match up, that the UFC have now ****ed up.

Put Edgar in with Maynard and he could lose! Bj makes the most sense.

Penn's getting a rematch because it was a close competitive fight. He's also one of the most bankable fighters the UFC has.

I'm not a penn fan after the excuses he made when he lost to GSP, but watching the edgar fight I gave the nod to penn, and he did not look like he was 100%.

I'm pretty sure he's gonna take the rematch without going to decision.

Dude, it was a close fight that either guy could have won. If you think it was a clear victory for either guy then you're a giant nuthugger.

The best reason why Penn gets a rematch and Sylvia didn't (or example) is nothing more than $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Penn is a much more marketable fighter than Edgar, just like Couture is more marketable than Sylvia.

Or that people would rather see a rematch of a close fight instead of one where it was a 25 minute raping.

It was such a close fight and it could of went to either man to be fair. This is just like Machida & Rua fight.

BJ will win the rematch though I am not convinced it will be in style.

Never realised that Rampage threw 2 blatent punches at Silva while he was out and the ref was holding him back.

As the former champion - Penn deserves an immediate rematch.
