I have a string feeling that Jones Jr vs. Trinidad won´t end by KO/stoppege. It will go the distance. Roy is faded and he never was a KO artist. In his last bouts he hasn´t shown too much of KO power now has he? When did he last KO any opponent? And making 170 pounds will surely make Jones a little bit weaker than usual. I am sure that he have not been able to too much of power training before this fight. And Tito won´t bring power to 170 pounds. And he did not look too powerful either in his last fight... This fight will go 12 rounds!

Here is what I belive that will happends:

Tito by a close decision. Jones will have a hard time making 170 pounds and it will show in the fight. He will not be sharp and he will tire out soon. Jones will be very defencive, he will fight in spurts and try to nicj the rounds with 2-3 flurryes every round. Trinidad will be active and outwork Jones. He won´t have the power at 170 to really hurt Jones, but he will do enough to win. Just like in the De la Hoya fight.

I think I am also one a few persons who think it can/will go the distance. Nothing is sure though.
But imo if it goes the distance jones will win it with a mix of wright/hopkins. UD/SD Roy

I think this fight will go the distance as well. Jones potshots his way to a comfortable UD. :deal

I used to love Tito - but looking back I realize that he wasn't as great as he seemed. He and Oscar both lost most or all of their biggest fights. They each beat Mayorga and Vargas - big f*in deal! Roy is one of those pure instinct fighters whose skills have eroded quickly. Tito hasn't done anything great in almost a decade - literally. This fight is meaningless regardless of the outcome.

Jones never been a KO artist - he had a 3 year span where none of his opponents finished the fight. So there was a time when he was.

But as of lately - I'll have to agree. He hasn't stopped anyone in years.

However - I think he stops Tito around round 8.

There is no way that Tito can win this fight on points, he just doesnt have the boxing ability to win on points. Hes too small anyway Roy won a belt at heavyweight!

Tito is there to be clobbered. Tito's chin is average. Tito is washed up. And being naturally way smaller than Jones Tito should be hurt various times throughout the fight.

A points win is not out of the question. Jones has not been aggressive since he fought Ruiz. Tito could conceivably rock Jones forcing Jones to be even less aggressive. Stranger things have happened.

:good Yeah... Tito just might outwork Jones. Of course Tito needs to be in great shape to do it. He needs to be sharp and show some power. And good conditioning... He really needs to throw a lot of punches in this fight.
