Its because he ducked Ward , but really its why he ducked him thats truly reprehensible .
So he could fight Brook , Wade and Jacobs.
A win over Ward is worth more than all 3 of those guys put together .

What GGG refused to do , Ward did do vs Kovalev yet he gets no credit for it by the casual golovkin brigade.

GGG needed that Ward fight. Its the best fight he could have ever gotten. When you duck the legacy fights so you can feast on bums , you instantly remove yourself from the ATG discussion. Its just the way it is

Its more than what Golovkin deserved. Refusing an even split done the middle is ducking behaviour at its absolute worst.

I thought Ward contacted Golovkin after he signed with Lemeiux....then Golovkins management had to decline because the fight had no chance.....I might be wrong but that was the rumour getting around in the game back then...Would not matter I think Ward's Chin would not have held up anyway....and Ward could not draw Fan's to His Birthday Party.!!!!

lmao! Yeah it was truly generous of Ward to offer Golovkin 50-50 split on the pot GGG would be generating pretty much by himself :loel::loel:

    This may help..
Loeffler said the Roc Nation email was received hours after he’d already announced Golovkin’s fight with Lemieux at Madison Square Garden, with Roc Nation aware the World Boxing Council designated Golovkin (33-0, 30 knockouts) the mandatory challenger to a then-pending Miguel Cotto-Saul “Canelo” Alvarez title bout that will be fought Nov. 21. Roc Nation promotes Cotto.

Landing that bout, Loeffler said, would be far more lucrative than a fight against Ward, and if Golovkin could beat both Lemieux and the Cotto-Alvarez winner, Loeffler said his focus for Golovkin would be to unify the middleweight division, with Andy Lee currently possessing the World Boxing Organization belt.

"If the pay-per-view for the Lemieux fight is what we think it should be, Gennady would deserve more than 50% against Ward, considering Ward has barely fought outside of California," Loeffler said. "So it’s unreasonable to ask us to commit to that right now."

Loeffler said his emailed reply to Ward’s camp was that if Ward was still at 168 pounds in early 2017, Golovkin would be pleased to consider the bout at that point.

When Golovkin first began to fight on HBO, Loeffler said, a list of 20 potential opponents included Ward (28-0, 15 knockouts), with Golovkin trainer Abel Sanchez touting his fighter as willing to fight anyone between 154 and 168 pounds in a reference directed at Ward.

But as that interest went unrequited, Loeffler said he was approached by Ward following the Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao fight in May and was asked to stop referencing Ward. Loeffler said he and Sanchez agreed to discuss Ward only if asked about him by reporters.

"If you don’t want to fight a fighter, think it’s not your style, just say that," Ward said on the video. "The truth is, they never wanted the fight. The reality is we offered him a fight six, seven months ago, before we knew he had a pay-per-view coming up ... 50%. He turned it down in five minutes. The short and long of it is they never wanted the fight."

I don't give a flying **** what any GG fans say why people don't like him. You can use color of his skin as your primary excuse and I wouldn't give a ****. I don't have to like him just like you don't have to respect Floyd.

I don't like Abel, GG's fans, and I'm irritated with GG. I'm irritated because he fought Brook after dissing Canelo for fighting Khan. I'm irritated because he had a chance to become the new lineal champion and fought Brook instead of the number 2 guy after Canelhoe gave up his title.

Canelhoe is still the lineal champion. GG didn't ask for the number 2 guy right away to establish a new lineal champion and took a money fight rather than a legacy fight. Fine. Don't ever tell me that fighters duck him ever again. I don't hate GG one bit but the only way I'll truly like GG is if he beats Canelo in September if they fight.

Ward was the A side. You could argue both were , hence the 50/50 split. GGG was not a PPV attraction. His only PPV fight flopped miserably.
But you're perfectly fine with GGG ducking Ward because you are just a casual who dksab. You like GGG and Kovalev. Thats IT.
Lewis Gassed is a joke of a poster. A troll at best.

Ward was never the A-side, this is what you can't get through your thick skull.
This is not even debatable! You're just sour grapes, 50-50 at 168 was NOT happening, move on little man.

Dino's like a fuggin train, he gets some wierd destination in his mind and you need TNT to change the direction of his thoughts. Ward was never the A side against GGG, that's a fantasy.

    Ward can fight, yes.

But he can't draw flies to sh*t.

    He can't draw a line.

    He can't draw a bath.

And he most certainly never was a fight fan draw.

    LMAO

You really are delusional. How long you think HBO is gonna let Bumlovkin fight mandatories for all four of the "major" alphabet organizations? Hell, I doubt Bumlovkin even gets to fight for the WBO belt anytime soon seeing as BOTH the IBF and WBC have mandatories due. Canelo, OTOH, can easily spend the next year fighting the Liam Smiths of the world. And how old is Bumlovkin again? Lol..

Sour grapes? Lol. GG was never a draw ever. He was never ever ever a draw because his style doesn't draw fans to the sport.

When will you guys understand? Neither Golovkin, nor Ward, ducked one another. It just didn't work out.
