That would really suck. Williams fighting Cotto's left overs coming off a loss. P-Dub should be fighting for abelt.

I agree. I have no interest in Williams fighting Clottey now. Williams would outwork Clottey to wide UD win.

I think he should settle at 154. If he can get a fight with pavlik then that's really the only good fight for him at 160.Pretty much everyone is moving up to 168. Abraham already moved up so pavlik is the only one left.

At 154 he has plenty of opponents. Cintron-martinez-forrest-spinks-mora etc etc

I say Williams continues the retire an aging fighter route & fight Forrest next. (154lbs)
dominate the Jr. MW's until the WW's decide to move up or Pavlik's people give him a crack.

Are you serious? What has Williams done to deserve a fight with Mosley? Williams last fight he easily Beat Wright who beat Mosley twice in a row. And Yes Williams last fight at a welterweight is ko Quintana. Let me ask you this question, What has Berto done to deserve a fight with Mosley? By winning a paper title against a bum fighter? Barely got by Collazo in which many thought Collazo won the fight?

How would you know for sure Mosley will get more money fighting Berto then fighting Williams? Goosen state that Mosley will get way more money then what he got in the Cotto, Margarito fights. I bet Mosley will get more money fighting Williams then he would of fighting Berto.

Ummm, he has stated numerous times that he can still make 147. Also, look at his weights for his last 4 fights.

Vs Winky, the fight was at 160...Paul weighed in at 157, less than Wright.
Vs Phillips, the fight was at 154...Paul weighed in at 153, slightly less than Phillips.
Vs Kolle, the fight was at 160...Paul weighed in at 157, less than Kolle.
Vs Quintana, the fight was at 147...Paul weighed in at 145, less than Carlos.

And he also came into the ring weighing less than all of his opponents as well. He is just small framed (weight wise of course)...I totally believe he can comfortably make WW to MW easily. Some fighters bodies are just like that...remember Hopkins weighing 154 when fighting DLH. Liken this to that.
