Why people think David Tua is some Mythical H2H monster

If your problem is simply with some fans opinions, and that's all they are, opinions, then I can see a ton of crap threads and arguments from you in the future.

 

But who's conparing him to ATG's tho ? He was a good fighter with crazy power but i haven't seen anyone say he's a H2H nightmare.

 

Tua would lose to Holmes, Fury and Ali.

Tua vs Tyson would be a fun fight. I favor Tyson, but I wouldn't be shocked if Tua won.

Tua vs Holyfield would be another fun fight. Again, I favor Holyfield, but I wouldn't be shocked if Tua won.

Tua would beat many of the historical heavyweights like Marciano & Louis. He's just too powerful and too durable for those guys.

 

I'd be incredibly shocked if Tua beat prime Tyson or Holyfield, it's not happening.

Not really any shame in losing to Savon, he is one of the best Amateurs of all time and Tua was a teenager if I'm not mistaken. Tua is just a weird guy stylistically, he's gonna lose to any slick fighter with a decent chin but he can lay waste to any non durable fighter.

 

Tua is probably rated just about right in most fans eyes

I think "Mythical h2h monster" is just it, a myth.

A decent chin, a good left hook and knockout to win ratio of 82+% you become a fan favourite, and become possibly mythical.

Given his lack of height i think he did mighty well amongst the heavyweights of his day..

I sure would welcome him in my gang should things turn to fisticuffs in a pub.

 

Tua was a slow footed, lumbering HW who had a good left hook and could take a punch. He was by no means a great HW. He was good, a top contender who always fell short against the top tier. Heck, even Chris Byrd beat him. No way he beats the ATGs.
