he went the distance 12 rounds with a huge heavyweight.

and avoided alll his shots, constantly moving.

Haye has more than reasonable stamina, his athlesticism should show you that.

he barely threw in that fight, when he throws and tries to make the fight exciting, he gets gassed real quickly

Haye dosent have very good stamina......

He claims that he dosent do any long distance running anyway, only sprints....

Also, take into account that he has a very muscular frame.... Look at how small his head is compared to his body.... Very muscular fighters gas early because their big bulky muscles take alot more oxegen to use than long loose muscles......

Also, haye likes to throw wide big power shots with everything behind them, and his style revolves around alot of head/foot movement......

Hell never have good stamina, his style and natural physique wont allow for it

He still hasn't mastered how to go 12 rounds with decent pace. If he hurts an opponent, or thinks they maybe in trouble, he will put everything into his punches. Whenever he does this, which is most of the time, he seems very out of breath, resulting in very low punch output.

    Haye gets tired quickly.
He may have good stamina, but the way he fights, he burns energy too quickly. You could see he was really tired by the third round tonight. His punch output is fairly low. When he does swing, he swings hard, and that's why he gets so tired so fast.

I don't know how good or bad Haye's stamina is, but using the Valuev fight as a good stamina argument is crazy. Haye threw 11.9 punches a round in that fight.

My one main gripe at Haye is that he picks his shots perfectly, stuns or hurts his opponent and throws stupid wild shots to try finish them off. He did it in the Enzo fight too, he needs to pick his shots better and stop getting carried away because at true world level it's too costly to punch yourself out.

Yeah I made that point in another topic. I agree, he tends to swing for the fences once he has his man stunned. If he just keeps the form tight, keep the punches straighter he could be getting them out of there even quicker. Like that 1-2 he threw in the first round for the KD was beautifully executed! he should employ that more when he stuns his man, then fire in some straight rights, maybe even slip in a body shot, uppercut. But yeah he tends to loop then in pretty wide as well. Just needs to tighten up his form, become just a little more clinical.

No arguments here, the man really has to work on his stamina, it'll help up his punch output also.
