Why R people talking like Floyd - Pac is next year?

It's become quite clear that Floyd Mayweather doesn't want to fight Manny Pacquiao, not right now anyway.

 

The only real way we would have know would have been for Floyd to fight him. Greenburg, in a way, acknowledged it as the go between.

 

No evidence as such, but Arum saying they had agreed to the terms, and then Oscar saying "they were close" (to finalizing the deal) leads me to believe Pac did agree. If they didn't, we would know about it, Team Mayweather and Floyd would be saying "take the tests and we fight", like they did in the first set of negotiations.

Floyd had no part in the negotiations, Floyd wasn't interested - go read the article on the scene from Arum.

 

What are you talking about? This fight is never happening. It might happen when both are in their mid-late thirties or some crap. It'll be like Jones-Hopkins II, a pure money grab. By then nobody will care.

 

The only thing is, when Arum said he agreed to the terms. We just don't know what those terms were. If they were 14 days or up until the fight. I must say, both sides are doing a terrible job at handling the situation.

 

Thats exactly how I felt about the second negotiation between these two...Floyd could have made a public statement to clarify what was going on about the whole ordeal instead of leaving his fans out in the dark.

 

Because none is required. Mayweather is not the boxing commision and shouldn't be trying to re-write the rules and standards of boxing.

He is doing this, not to 'clean up the sport', but to avoid Pacman.

Of course, that is only my opinion..and the opinion of CBS, Yahoo!, Sports Illustrated, PTI, etc etc..but hey what do they know right.

No one actually knows what what offered by Pac in these second negotiations..common sense would say, though, that Mayweather would have mentioned testing as the stumbling block, if it indeed was again.

The fight happens in 2011 and goes down as the most anticipated match in the history of this beautiful sport.

 

Well i don't know man, I'm not him. I don't think anyone besides Pac himself could claim to know that.

I guess my take on it is, I wish he would just take the test too. But I understand why he wouldn't want to, I think it's ridiculous that he should HAVE to to make this fight, and I'm starting to get the impression that even if he did agree all the way up to the fight, some other roadblock would be set up, and the fight still wouldn't happen.

 

That's the only thing. Floyd is being a dick by asking for the testing. No doubt. He's not above the sport. But neither is Manny to not accept. I just don't understand how all the blame goes on Mayweather. Don't get me wrong, he's a good chunk of the reason this fight hasn't been made. But it's not like a blood test is the worst thing in the world. These are giant ego's going at it, and hopefully next year it can be resolved.

 

what demands ? there was no negotiation according to floyd therefore no demands, hell froid didnt even know people wanted this fite or how big it was he wasnt even thinking bout boxing right???

I can go along with this..I just wanna see the damn fight.

I guess at the end of the day, ppl assign Floyd more of the blame, because he is the one that brought the testing bull**** into it in the first place.

But I wish Many would just take the damn needles!

 

Me too man. I really feel like May of next year it's going to happen. Sometime around then. But who knows for sure.
