what provodnikov is elite himself. i think ruslan will beat alot of fighters at 147 and tim always fights the tough guys, he fights the guys nobody wants to fight. tim can do everthing very good but lose. i just dont think tim and robert are on the same level. tim was the best fighter 140 when he was there and he is the 3rd best fighter at 147. he beat pac man who was number 2 and then pac loss to jmm. so that should make tim number 2 ww in the world but if not him jmm ! you ask me about robert ill say hes good fighter you ask me about tim and ill say he is a beast. 2013 version meldrick taylor !!
I'm not saying Provodnikov isn't a great fighter in his own right, because he is. But he's clearly limited (kinda like Rios), and I just don't think that an "elite" fighter would have that much trouble with him. I dunno, maybe Ruslan proves me wrong, and he turns out be a beast with a string of good KO's in the future... but I personally can't see it :conf
I didn't say anything about being number 1. I said he has world championship credentials in multiple divisions. That means: He has fought at the top level of more than ONE division. It doesn't even say he's a champ... i.e - Fighting for a championship, and losing, is world championship experience. You got there, were a consistent top ranked opponent, and got a shot. Being able to be competitive in more than one weight class is an excellent accomplishment. You don't need to be Hearns or SRL and get titles in 4-5 to get respect in my book, sorry. Nothing wrong with being a two division champion. Mayweather is pushing 36 and has another year of inactivity. Eventually, it's going to catch up to him. Maybe Guerrero doesn't win, but I'm looking to see how much Floyd has slipped again personally.
i will enjoy that one for sure. :deal I guess i'll just watch Floyd completley trash Guerrero and then come to ESB and laugh at those who thought Guerrero was actually gonna be a threat. Gotta look at things in the bright side. :hat
Fair enough, whatever floats your boat, buddy. Its still a mismatch for me, and will end up watching it either way (althogh Mares-DeLeon lured me) so it is what it is. For me, this win wont even be in Floyd's top 10, probably not even top 15.
Unfortunately, Guerrero is one of the best and only options on the table for Floyd at Welterweight. I mean, Juan is generally considered #2 on the planet right now and that **** isn't going to work. Bradley either for obvious reasons. Pac's in a coma. It was either going to be RG or Canelo at 154, whom I honestly think is next if he gets past Austin Trout and proves his worth in the division. Canelo is on the list... Someone like say Martinez, is not.
Because he's not as seasoned as Mayweather that's why !Beating Ander Berto is not the measuring stick ..I mean every fighter has a chance but there are certain factors that overwhelm a fighters edge ..And Maywether holds most of hose edges ! Hey but if Guerrero pulls it out I would admit how wrong I was and ask for HIS forgiveness for doubting him !
Showtime will push hard for it behind closed doors. They have a very heavy investment, and you can't fill six fights solely with guys like RG or Devon. Most people are going to buy this fight out of curiosity since Floyd's been out of action, then he has typically followed that with a fight much sooner, but against a big name guy to keep the momentum rolling. Since Hatton: Long Layoff ---------> OK Opponent -------> Big Name Opponent (repeat) ------------------------> Marquez --------------> Mosley ------------------------> Ortiz --------------------> Cotto ------------------------> Guerrero --------------> ?
mayweather is the better fighter so he should win. ppl just like to discredit floyd ANY way they can try
