Boxing fans say they love to watch the best fight the best, but constantly complain and call the losing fighter a "bum" or "overrated". We should WANT boxers to take on challenges so we can watch amazing fights... Hypocrites! You're the reason why fighters don't challenge themselves and fight nothing but tune ups. This counterproductive logic HAS to go ASAP. P.S. As a huge sports fan growing up, I never watched boxing for the most part. I've kept up with boxing for about 8 years and boxing has the worst fans of any sport I've ever witnessed. Additional Thoughts?
That's what I love about boxing and boxing fans They are fickle, emotional, can be extremely hostile and normally hold their loyalties no matter what. (What did you just say about Fury?!) & casuals fans are just disgusting creatures. Had to sit through Wilder Fury 2 while a muppet called Fury "the worst boxer ever" like lmao ok.
Nah, that's not true. The reason is money. And well, that's what fans (we) do in sports. Booooo boooo you are not my team! hurray hurray you are my team!! my team won it's the best!! my team lost, you are cheaters!! It has been like that since troglodytes competed throwing stones, were you born yesterday?
There is no flaw in the hardcore fan logic. Vargas lost to de la hoya, so what? I was big fan of vargas, I continued being a fan of him and I will always be a fan of him. Hardcore boxing fans do not give his back to their fighters, if there is something that hardcore fans dont do in boxing is this. Look at all those ******s saying that pacman won in slowmo, now saying that lomachenko won in slowmo too. Do you think that they have given their back to their fighters? No, there's no flaw in the hardcore fan logic.
You don't have to be an idiot just because your favorite fighter lost. Fix your priorities, idolizing athletes won't get you anywhere old man.
because you have a fire that lights from the inside, instead of the outside. some men dont need cheers and a hand job to get up and give it their all, taking pride in that, win or lose.
I do think less boxers are taking less risks because of the fans and not totally unrelated, the money. That said, the fans and the money situation are what they are. You don't take risks you won't get to the top. I think on the internet fans vent out frustrations they probably wouldn't do as much in person. In person fans are more gracious to boxers and each other.
It does suck that people don't give enough respect for taking hard fights but you can see why sometimes people want the boxers they support to avoid a dangerous match up. Taking the wrong fight can end a career.
