There is no doubt to the casual observer that you DID INDEED not only compare him to the goat but consider the 2 same level. Why are you denying it? Clinton schooled you like a little kid in a playground.

Duran is the best fighter in my lifetime and I am 61 years old. I wasn't around to Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis and Maricano,
but did see Ali, Salvador Sanchez. Pryor, Leonard. Hearns, Hagler, Frazier, Holmes, Monzon, Benitez, Tyson, Holyfield, Bob Foster,
    Foreman, Zarate, Chavez, Whitaker, etc.

Duran was the best, Leonard (who I cannot stand) is a close second.

You come across as being a child. Let me asked you this, is Ali a bum due to losing to Leon Spinks and Trevor Berbick?

Ali had parkinson and was close to 40,past prime and was on 3 years suspension!
Duran lost against bums in his prime!

He has a strong case as the greatest Lightweight. There is no style he couldnt deal with at that weight in his prime. 1-5 is a revisionist thing. It doesnt exist. He faced other greats and very good champions and handle them.
For example had he knocked out Benitez in '82 you wouldn't have consider that in that arguement. The he beat Palomino or even Cuevas.
Those fights your referring to were his most highl profile bouts that that took place north of 30 years old and weight north. At the same time those guys get major credit for beating a former lightweight champion. What does that say about their resume?
