I doubt Murray would beat Maidana or Kotelnik !!

Murray ain't even worth contemplating..... hes that **** and ain't got nothing to offer!!

Like some cocky little chav asking for a fight, not even worth the hassle... ignore the ****s.

hes a bum and Khans on a different level!!

    :hi:

Khan fought Lawton in his 14th pro fight and finished it in 4. Murray fought him in his 27th and took 6. Sums up how their careers are going, doesn't it.

You'd think Murray would've learnt from his stable mates Witter and Froch that coming out and telling the Watford Gazette that you want to fight the title holder after a fight against a C level opponent in some small hall in Luton isn't going to work but he seems intent on giving it a shot.

The power of a good promoter, eh?

Earl beat Romanov and gave Katsidis an argument in the time period we're talking about and Limind was Commonwealth champion when he fought Khan :?

It was said that Murray was offered decent money to fight Khan sometime ago and knocked it back... if this is the case then Murray may have missed the boat....Murray is not brining anything to the table...:huh

I think that Khan will vacate and go back in with the Lighweights when the time is right.... whilst he can pick up some decent money with this strap he will keep it..... once an opportunity arises at Lightweight he will be off...:yep

The fight wont happen now, if it was it would have happened 2 years ago...

Its a shame because i think we have been robbed of a few good domestic tear-ups seeing as Khan decided to totally AVOID the British title route...

Khan, Murrary, Thaxton would have been an interesting set of fights a fews years back!

It'll be more interesting if Murray can win a world title at lightweight first.

People on here totally under rate John Murray, Amir Khan is better than him for skill, speed and all round boxing ability everybody knows that but he doesnt like getting into a tear up and Murray would knonk him out because of that, Plus half of Khans knock outs hes ran at his opponent throwing millions of punches not even landing and his opponent as just went down, Dont get me wrong Khan has world class boxing ability just he has world class vulnerability.

    This thread is hilarious!

Murray could offer a good challenge for Khan if he can win a couple of fights above domestic level. If he can get a European belt I think Khan would take the fight but why would he even consider it at the moment??

If Murray is as good as some of his fans are suggesting then he'll get his chance.

This game is about money, and risk-reward, not making the best fights out there, thats what makes boxing what it is.

Its the reason why boxing needs one world champion per weight class and a world governing body.

The rest of the titles and these mandatory defences while not clearing up your own patch are a fraud to boxing fans in the know.

Eeuw. Just had a really believable, if slightly disturbing, mental image of Warren spoon-feeding young Amir some rusks. "Open up, here comes an airplane". He even wiped his chin for him. Ah bless!

I read an article on the ESB frontpage just recently where Frank Warren said something along the lines of Salita is a big puncher. I know little about him but thought at the time "is that really true" as I thought I'd heard otherwise. Can anybody clear this up? Is Salita a puncher or not? Personally I doubt it. Look what's happened everytime they've put Amir anywhere near a proven puncher... Or Willie Limond!
