Why Shane won, and it had nothing to do with hand-wraps..

The clinching won this fight.. and the headbutts. Not saying what Shane did was illegal.. it was part of the game.. but it frustrated the living **** out of Margarito.. so did all the fair-game tactics.. the tapping of hands after clinches/wrestling/end of rounds.. it just took Tony out of his mindset, he lost the mental battle. Here is Shane who just headbutted him and wrestled him into the corner, then he wants to tap hands like friends.. wtf? Tony didn't know how to react.

Mosley both physically and mentally beat Margarito.. I think the KO came as much from the psychological beatdown as from the punches.. the punches did it, but he destroyed Margarito mentally into thinking he just couldn't do it.

That two-tiered approach makes this one of Mosley's greatest wins. It was a superb performance, and one not to be weakened by all the other bull****.

Margarito landed his fair share of low blows.

His hands were re-wrapped, so its a mute point, but Margarito was just outclassed.

Agreed, the clinching was key, the thundering right hands and great accuracy helped too.

I think Margarito would have been beaten down even if he got away with cheating. Margarito looked less confident after Naazim spotted those wraps. Shane was too determined to let anyone beat him last night and fought perfect.

Shane fought a brilliant fight. He was very strategic with the clinching. the headbutts were simply a side effect of Mosely getting in close to protect himself. He flurried to keep Margo off balance. He frustrated Margo consitently. He moved well throughout, stood and fought when he needed to. The jab was key also, both to the head and to the body. By the 6th round, AM was done

I never said what Shane did was dirty. It was what it was, the headbutts were not all Shane's fault.. and he wasn't intentionally doing them.. well at least I don't think he was.

I don't think just anyone could do what Shane did.. the gameplan was there, and has been.. but it took that combo of chin, speed, power, and most of all determination.

Ali did the same thing to Frazier in Fight 2....clinch......and the Mexican code of fighting is not to clinch.

    Margo just couldn't handle it.
