Why should amateur fights be scored the same as pros?

    What are the reasons for people saying that the amateur fights should use the same scoring system as the pros?

    well I guess one reason could be, that they would now have to adjust to the pro scoring style? I could imagine that taking a bit of time, depending on style etc.
