Answer: Because, as Hatton demonstrated by fighting here often, he can make four times as much money and gain a much larger fanbase.

Yeah but the potential to be robbed is massive as proved with Lewis-Holyfield 1.

I really don't think that was because Lewis was from the UK...If you've seen some other Holyfield judging "gems", you'd see that the judges sometimes made crazy decisions in his favor.

Also, why should Hopkins go to the UK when JC has been annointed as a GOD? Wouldn't it be even more likely that Hopkins gets robbed there???

    LET THEM FIGHT IN ICELAND!

    Calzaghe has dominated without travelling....

Virgil Hill did similar for all of his first reign.. Bismark ND for life..

Joseph could go to the US and ruin his whole legacy by way of a terrible decision..

Joe does great as he is.. He is a great champ .....

Mike Tyson as champ only ever went abroad to Japan and it was on one of those trips that he had his title torn away from him..

That's true. We do have bull**** presidential elections...We also elect morons. Much of the time, you don't do much better haha.

At any rate, to me, JC staying and fighting in his backyard against weak opposition will keep him in his current status: AN UNDEFEATED CHAMPION. That's enough for some, but if he wants a true legacy in the sport, and wants the chance to be an ATG, he needs to come to the USA, and fight some REAL champions.

Exposure and economics. Look how much money Hatton made for getting knocked out by Floyd.

I can see why the Brits wouldnt want Calzaghe to fight in America. They dont wanna risk exposing the only good athlete they have.

Calzaghe made **** money for the Lacy fight.

He will get a career high payday if he goes to fight in the USA of America against one of their MVPs
