Casa got the biggest gift of the decade in a decision against Casa but beats a very good prospect so now he deserves a big name fight atsch

Many thought Juan Diaz was the man when he unified 3 titles, Campbell beat him and now many think he is the man.

and the first fight was close.

 

both casa and campbell nedd big money fights at this point of their respective careers. and matching them again doesn't bring real money on the table

Casa vs Nate is the #1 fight in the LW division everyone knows this both are veterans who just beat undefeated up and comers. It makes sense and it will make money as well.

You can always make excuses as to why one fighter doesn't need to fight another. And its ironic that this thread was started by a Cotto fan

Campbell may fight Khan - that's big money for him overseas - plus HBO would probably pick that fight up.

Two good fights - with the winners fighting each other for everything - with the exception of David Diaz's Belt. That just leaves the winner of those first fights to either fight Diaz or Pac Man. This can get very interesting.

 

I totally agree with this thread, dollars and sense the two fighters are in the end of their careers why pit one vs the other both deserve a last good pay day after so many years on this difficult profession Casa has nothing to gain from this fight.Both are in good position with so many exciting challengers.

 

Just b/c Nate is now a champion....the fight was hella close and Nate actually gave Casa a very hard challenge. Off of Casa most recent win I would say looked good...he struggled against a guy whom he would have beaten in his hayday really easily, but he lost to santa cruz which hurt him a lot. he got a bogus victory. I like the Nate vs Casa fight.

 

Well, the first fight between the two was over five years ago and Campbell does hold 3 of the 4 major belts in the Lightweight Division even though Casamayor is the lineal champion. I think Campbell has improved since there first fight and proved he can still hang with the top young fighters. Also considering the fact that a lot of fans do consider Campbell as the "The Man" in the Ligtweight Division because of who he just beat and that Casamayor had a highly disputed Decision against Santa Cruz.
