Is he retired or not? He got nowhere against Vlad.He struggled against Chisora(finished him brilliantly tho). There are plenty of heavyweights who would trouble Haye.
When you get title shot and don't win,you need to put extra work in ,and go back a few steps to get another shot.not go on I'm a celebrity!

Well he is set to officially announce his return to boxing tomorrow and is tipped to be fighting "two top 10 world heavyweights" in an effort to get a Klitschko fight.

If he does this, and wins both fights, then he will have 'earned' a Klitschko fight.

Two biggest money fights in HW boxing at the moment are:
    Wlad vs Povetkin
    Vitali vs Haye

Too bad Vitali's other opponents don't need to do anything to get a title shot.

Most rankings have Vitali and Haye as two of the top 3-4 contenders to Wlad. In any division that would be a match people would accept so this shouldn't be any different.

Wlad is a different story. Haye had a chance and lost convcingly, he should have to score a good win or two before getting a second shot there.

At least they don't go out of retirement all of a sudden and demand a a championship fight right off the bat.

Now if Haye really goes through with these two fights vs top 10 opponents - fair play to him.

If Vitali retires before that, I won't blame him either though.

  6. Because the division is so dead that he is still one of the most live opponents available. The only HW who can jump lol. Klitchkos and the division a re a joke.

What do you mean "at least?" You don't deserve a shot then you don't deserve a shot. Vitali been fighting nothing but chumps 99% of his career. And I guarantee whoever he fights next probably doesn't deserve a shot either.

Because the fight will be huge and everybody inculding casual fans will watch it.
It will be the biggest earner for both fighters.
Vitali wont get half the audience against the nobody he's likely to face next.

Cos he's arguably the best challenger and he brings the most money. And he didnt struggle with Chisora, not as much as Vit anmyway

I'm just saying that there is no reason whatsoever that Haye "should" get a Vitali fight right now. Vitali might give it to him but I think that would be kinda unfair to all those who are worse than Haye but actually fight to earn they're shot. How else should they deserve a shot? I don't quite get what you mean?

What did Chisora do to earn a shot? Charr?

Haye is one of the best heavyweights out there and he doesnt necessarily "deserve" the fight but he is very much qualified for it

that said Vitali not fighting him is in no way shape or form a duck, Haye did get multiple offers and had several chances

the aging champ has earned the right to retire on his terms, I also strongly favor Vitali if they do fight

Chisora arguably (actually clearly but it was a robbery) beat Helenius which was considered one of the best prospects at that point, less than 3 months before he fought Vit.

Charr beat another one (not as promising but stil..) in Bydenko.

Both have fought regularly mostly winning up to the Vitali fight.

No one of those who lost to a Klitschko demanded a fight with the other brother rightaway. It kinda goes without saying they have to earn it by beating some good opponents first. Why would Haye be the exception? He nearly got shut out vs Wlad.

I see what you are saying but Haye seems to"retire" rather than put the graft in.If you are active and fighting<weather that be bums or not,at least you are active and fighting.
Haye is a cruiser weight with a big punch. ONE big punch in the Heavyweight division, off ANYONE ,can be lights out,so he wont take the chance.
