Seriously, so many are calling for him to stop, but why? He went 12 rounds with a good titlist and was in the fight. Shoud Oquendo, maddalone, Savarese all retire because they lost to Holy recently? If Holy is shot then those guys should quit also...

Call me naive but getting punched in the head for a living might not be good for your health so if you have health and money its a great time to explore other options in life and face other challenges

I'm not going to try and stop the man from making a living.

But if he ends up a drooling mess because of his ring injuries, all the Holy fans better not be whining "someone should have protected him from himself."

    But some probably will.

He gave it a good effort in his last return better to go out like that then keep on fighting and getting no where.

Holyfield was never serioussly in the fight, i had it 10-2 Ibragimov, and Ibragimov is not a good champion he drew with RAY AUSTIN who was wiped out in 2 rounds by Klitchsko

Freddie Roach on Holyfield : "He's got a lot of money, but what's that worth if you can't count it?"... He has money to pay people to count it for him, Freddie!

If he wants to walk around like a brain dead zombie, he should do it the old fashion way, become a crack addict...

He should retire in order to keep his brains from getting bashed-in any further, but then again, he's never been too bright to begin with; and he has 200+ mouths to feed. Perhaps he'll bos himself to his grave. I agree it would be in the interest of all of them and Jeremy Bates to retire.

    Why should he retire?

Because it's time to. Simple as that.
Holyfield was never difficult to hit so he's basically been taking punches for 23 years and that's scary.
