TBF I'm not a massive fan of rematches....but it's a better fight than kambosos.... Put it to bed by winning again...if he can.

Which I think he could...that's a genuinely interesting fight second time round...he's bitching out

How do you duck a fighter you beat convincingly?

It was a legitimate victory, but it wasn't convincing in the way you're suggesting. Teo built up a big lead, but the fight ended up close.

Lomachenko isn't all that likeable, but he did compromise on pay so that Teo could make an amount he deemed satisfactory. That compromise made three things possible; 1. a fight that boxing fans wanted, 2. Teo's biggest payday to that date, 3. Teo's opportunity to attain the status he now enjoys as lightweight's recognized top boy.

He should do Lomachenko the courtesy of granting the rematch, instead of whining about how disrespected he was. You feel disrespected? Beat some courtesy into the man. (Same goes for Donaire in the case of Casimero.)

    He's beaten him clearly.

Would Loma have rematched if he won as clear?

Thats the thing, Lomachenko wouldn't have. I would like to see Lopez fight Loma and it's clear Lopez doesn't want the rematch but the fact is it was Lomachenkos pride that led to his downfall. Lomachenko brushed him off and was so confident that he didn't put in a rematch clause. Now look where we are

I wouldn't blame him if he doesn't rematch Lomachenko, because he won the first fight fair and square, but i would love to see it.

I believe a rematch should happen. I won't call it a duck since Lopez fought him already.

Imagine if Fury did this after he beat Wlad?

    Kind of irredeemable.

Needs to rematch Loma and ditch Bob Arum...and deflate that ego.

    Lopez is becoming insufferable.

1 whole year of inactivity and he's still talking like he's a superstar. If he actually fought good opponents since their match, I'd give him a pass, but his career has been stalled since he started ducking the rematch.

BS official scorecards aside, Teo won by a 115–113 type margin, 116–112 at most.

It shouldn't be viewed as controversial, the right man was awarded the decision, but it was close. That's rematch material, especially given that matches with other name lightweights seem set to elude Lopez for one reason or another.

Well he wasnt paid for rematch clause so why should he take a rematch just because he won.
Im sure they can change his mind if they put enough money on the table to make it

He keeps at it with this reasoning (and many agree with him) that Loma wouldn't have given him the rematch. But ... what is this based on?

The only close fights Loma has had both went the other way, he's dominated everyone else. He's never rejected a reasonable rematch candidate. Did anyone even want to rematch him?

He's fighting well above his weight because he wants to fight the best. If he did get the nod in that fight with Lopez and won narrowly ... wouldn't Lopez still be the best? I genuinely think he would have been happy to rematch Lopez if it went the other way.

    Lopez is ducking him.

Lopez isn't actual, ppl had forget about him: he isn't big draw and didn't had fought so long time.
If he had beaten this Kambossos in summer or september, he again had been actual.
Maybe he might fight vs Crawford or Tank?
