Here my reasoning why Pac should not fight Floyd. When you take a look at Pac's last 5 fights and compare them to Floyd last 5 fights. You can find the arguement that Pac shouldn't fight Floyd. First of all Pac dominated Joshua Clottey ( busted career), Miquel Cotto ( busted career by Margo), Ricky Hatton ( busted career by Floyd), Oscar Del Hoyo ( should have retired) and David Diaz ( overrrated). Examine Floyd last 5 fights, Mosley ( old, inactive but coming off best win of career), Juan Manual Marquez ( small but coming off a good win over Diaz), Ricky Hatton ( undefeated at the time but overrated), Carlos Baldamir ( slow but the top welter at the time). If I was Pac, I wouldn't want this fight, Roach doesn't have a fight plan for Floyd. Mainly due to Floyd fighting Shane in a totally different style. Pac is the #1 P4P and rightfully should be. Floyd gave it up when he retired and Pac has not done anything to lose it. Floyd #1 PVP. Floyd makes dollar and if it doesn't make dollars it doesn't make sense. There is no one left for both fighters to face. We say, both fighters need to just fight. I will let them manage there own career, I would love to see the fight and would probably see this one in person. I due understand if this fight doesn't happen. It just doesn't make sense why Pac should fight Floyd but it does make cents, why he should.
hatton, cotto, diaz were perfect fights for pac during those times. if those were not good enough for you, what do you think was the best fight for pacquiao, jesus christ?
I not talking about Loss, I like Cotto and Clottey both, they are in No mans land right now. Cotto get hit hard, PTSD kicks in from the trauma he suffered from the Margo beating kicks in. Look at Kermit Cintron career, He get's hit and he jumps out of the ring. Clottey can win the big fight, never has and never will.
you bitches keep complaining about pac's competition yet you are the same people who never thought pac had any chance of winning against bigger fighters.
I not making a case against Pac, but you are right. He should have fought those guys and not fight Williams, Floyd, Mosley and Margo. There was a chance to increase his popularity with minimal risk. Now he is there, where should he go. Continue take fights from the Arum's stable or take a greater risk. It is a tough call for Pac.
The interesting thing is that you call someone a B-word and by the way. I had Pac winning all those fights. I was a little on the fence against Cotto but I went with Pac due to the beating that Cotto got from Margo and that he submitted ( a sign of trauma, fight or flight). Not saying that Pac fought lesser fighters, I believe they were fight Pac could win and he did.
Mayweather did the same, he fought fights he knew he had the higher chance of winning. The point is, when Mayweather fought them, they were at higher confidence than when Pac and if you don't believe that is on Pac's mind than your wrong.
Texas, that seemed pretty fair to me. The Pac fans still don't understand why Oscar and Floyd left Arum, Arum makes sure his best fighter never fight another top fighter at their best. Arum is the piece of **** here not Floyd and not Manny.
If Pac is fighting people that are "made for him" like you imply, then why the **** are you against him fighting a fighter that is out of his comfort zone? Shouldn't you be happy that Pac(or any other fighter for that matter) are challenging themselves by fighting a guy they have a big chance of losing? What the **** is wrong with your boxing mentality? Are you even a true boxing fan for suggesting that Pac should just take easy fights for the rest of his career? I'm guessing no, and I'm guessing your another alt. Nice Try. :hi:
I agree, Arum is chumping Pac's career and now Pac is in a no win situation. He is going to have to take a big risk or retire. Who is Plan B for Pac? Cotto, Margo, Bradley, Kahn, Marquez. All these are excellent fights but a greater risk and not that much money. Look at Mayweather risk but with big paydays such as Martinez.
