Why should Wlad lose millions not facing Chisora coz Haye didn't sort out his mando?

Or maybe, organising this particular fight isn’t as simple as..... “Oi, TV people, I want a fight in May. Gimme May so I can bask naked in all the money you will make me.”

Because remember, this deal involves the fighters taking a 50/50 split from everywhere. The date needs to be a date where both RTL and Sky can generate maximum viewing figures. The earliest that date can be, is July 2nd, regardless of whether the fight takes place in the UK or Germany.

Or maybe there was never going to be any fight until Wlad gets a new TV deal and Haye loses the Sauerland options - both adding another hefty chunk of wonga into the pot :D

But taking the stay-busy Chisora fight, also allows Wlad to conclude his current deal with RTL. He’ll then be able to renegotiate a better deal for the lucrative Haye fight. Not only will he benefit himself financially, he’ll benefit Haye too. In fact, Haye will benefit even more if he has a tune-up fight of his own - he’ll rid himself of Saureland.

In regards to motivation, the same can be said for Haye. If he’s motivated enough to chase Wlad at an airport and prance around in custom made T-shirts with decapitated Klitsckos, he should push his retirement plan back.

Definitely, and I think he will have to now anyway.

That would also make sense but when will Haye lose the Sauerland options?

This has been Haye's excuse for a long time except the reality is there are no German TV networks willing to pay more. RTL is the biggest network and although Haye is claiming Klychko's RTL contract is preventing them from getting more money from a rival network notice how he hasn't actually named another network that has offered more.

Just another excuse that Haye has used that British fans have bought even though it's completely false.

Haye needed his "vacation" after that tough tough Ruiz fight. lol

    More Haye falsehood repeated.

    More Haye falsehood repeated.

Haye's Sauerland/Don King options are done after 1 more fight so after a potential Chagaev fight. Too bad Haye hasn't already done that and instead decides to fight once a year.

This is probably the most sensible thread of all the Haye-Wlad threads. Good read all the way through

Even if the fight doesn't happen on July 2, there shouldn't be anything in the way of a Haye-Klitschko (either one) bout in late September/October.

That's what I keep saying. Why is everyone acting as though the July 2nd date is the last and only one available? Given Haye's track record of pulling out of fights, Wlad's doing the right in thing in having a keep-busy fight against Chisora. It may not allow him to meet Haye for July 2nd, but he'll have more than enough time for September/October.

Bigbone is 100% right here these are all valid points.

Plus Wlad EARNT his HW standing what has Haye done? And at the end of the day once Wlad beats hime down in a 1 sided fight Haye fans will just call him a bum anyway :S
