I wish these two could have squared off back in 2005-2006. Back then I would have favored Hatton. I often wonder how Hatton's career would be looked at today if he had fought and beaten Cotto back then.

I always said Cotto was better than Hatton.

Having said that though i re-watched Cotto v Malignaggi and after that fight if Hatton and Cotto had fought i would have favoured Hatton.

Now though Cotto is the bigger and better fighter and he would never get back down to 140 and why should he?

Cotto's career is going full speed ahead and he has options galore.Hatton isnt even on Miguels radar.

To answer the question on Why shouldn't Cotto and Hatton fight? To me the answer is simple... If little Floyd was able to KO Hatton, Cotto will be charge with murder at the end of the fight... To much power and skill for Hatton to handle.

. . . because Cotto is at 147 now, And not unless Hatton moves up to 147 again . . . there's no reason why they should fight.

It's gonna be a complete Hatton beatdown. :yep

Hatton should not fight Cotto, because I don't want Ricky's son to lose his father.

    Pretty simple.
