Why shouldn't Floyd think he's better than Ali and SRR?

If he reply believed it And was that confident then we would have already seen him have a super resume with the likes of Williams, cotto, clottey, pacman, margo, mosley (from before) Forrest et al on there now.

He has the talent and ability to have these guys on there and maybe even with his 0 in tact (highly debatable I know) but when someone is materialistic and fight for God know what (as we know PBF says contradictory things) money? Legacy? Pride? Then that 0 must be protected somewhat as it really is the basis for why he claims superiority over others. Have a loss does not mean your a bad/rubbish boxer or less of one

    In principle it is fine.

Boxing fans have idols though, perhaps more so then in any other sport.

Mosley continually said after the cotto defeat that he is the best WW out there. Even after Pac brilliant performances he still says beating floyd will make him the p4p number 1 fighter in the world. Is he delusional or is he just confident?

Then every fighter should think that they are better than Srr and Ali. Mayweather shows the opposite of confidence when he says **** like that Imo.

hell no. Footballers have the most idols.

Guys like Beckham, Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Torress are worshipped just as much as the biggest boxing superstar.

He may not be "confident", but he's 40-0.

What real man out there that trains everyday fighting for a living would say that any other man could whoop his ass???

If i was a boxer or a fighter in any professional sport I would say the same thing...

like floyd said "they put they pants on one leg at a time just like me"

Not every fighter is on the pound for pound list. Some just aren't mentally cut out for it.

people consider ali the greatest of all time partly because ali considered ali the greatest of all time...

I wonder what people had to say about that when he was fighting knowing that SRR was better

Your right, some of it may be insecurity, but if talking the talk helps you relax, calm down, get excited for the fight, train harder, have more confidence....whatever it helps you do...who am I to knock it?
