Why since his loss to PBF, people are acting as if Hatton isnt an elite fighter??

The contract was still signed and Floyd beat the former champion. And how can you be outboxed in the 2nd fight when you are winning? At the time of the stoppage.

Hatton pulled the fight through with the KD early. And who else is there that wanted to fight him? Williams hadn't fought Margo yet and wasn't proven. Cotto hasn't looked Mayweathers way, and he was set to go with Mosley. Mosley had a toothache when Floyd wanted him. Now Mosley is too old.

And yes Collazo isn't SRL and vice versa blah blah. But Styles make fights.

Floyd took a break after the Hatton fight. Not retirement. Cotto's team was planning on a DLH fight because its more marketable then a Floyd fight.

How can you fight someone who doesn't want to fight you?

What will be your excuse when it is announced that Floyd fights Hoya again instead of going for the best fighters in his weight class?

so you dont dispute him being the best p4p or at welterweight?? great:good Anyway, you say he should take on his number one challeneger. I believe the same. He should fight Cotto and I am clamoring for that fight, but just because he hasnt fought him yet doesnt mean you should degrade who he fought and what they accomplish, while at the same time elevating Cotto. IMO Hatton and ODLH have/had a better shot at beating Mayweather. Oscar because of his jab, speed, and his advantages in size, power and strength. Hatton because of his mauling, high volume relentless style. As of now Cotto is his best challenger, but is also tailor-maid to look foolish and see his status as a fighter plummet if he faces Mayweather.

Theres no excuse. I want him to fight Cotto. But how can he fight Cotto when if Floyd wasn't fighting DLH. We would have Cotto-DLH.(Cottos team want no part of Mayweather)

And Paul is set to fight Quitana. We have to see how he does first.

Cotto will fight anybody. That's why I respect Cotto, and not Money Mayweather.

For the record, I had the Hoya and Mayweather fight a draw.

Then why does Cotto want to fight DLH?

And if you have it a draw you need to rewatch it. That fight wasn't even close.

Interesting that you say this. After Judah lost to Baldo that January, Floyd offered Margo a fight. However, Margo was fighting in February and Arum didn't want to pull him off the card.

I had Mayweather by 3 rounds, close competitive fight though, anyway if Cotto would fight anyone, why is he fighting the same past prime Oscar, Floyd gets no credit for beating.......$$$$$$$, not because he is fearless. He could be fighting the same Paul Williams, and Kermit Cintron people say Floyd should be fighting. If the Cotto-Mayweather fight isnt made, what better way to make it happen than by eliminating another top challenger at 147?

Its just the ebb and flow of the typical fight fan. What have you done for me lately? Dont worry, let him smash up paul magglinini and junior witter and people will be back on his band wagon.

Yep....I think if he beat Witter and Malignaggi to re-unify the belts they'd give him his due again. He did just lose to the best in the world.

Hatton is the top man at 140 I am sure he will have sorted out Paulie and Witter by this time next year and a mega fight on the books. I think the sad thing is the Haters out number the real fans here.

You defend Floyd fighting DLH again very well. You're probably right that Cotto would rather fight DLH than Floyd and if Floyd didn't take the DLH fight Cotto would thus depriving PBf of his two biggest fights. He's just getting in there first and for that kind of money who can blame him?

Do you think he should take a "tune-up" in May like DLH is doing? Maybe even against Mosley?

Well it was. At least in the manner in which Cotto won. He destroyed Judah and stopped him. That's better than winning a decision. Kinda obvious. Add in the fact that Judah hurt Cotto a couple of times and showed more heart than he ever has and made a real fight out of it, makes the entire fight that much better, hence more people respect, or give props if you will to Cotto for the victory.

How you win goes along way in getting or not getting credit.

As for Hatton, he is an elite 140 pounder, but reality is, he barely hung with a top-10 welterweight in Collazo, and would get wrecked by any of the top welterweights:

    Mayweather
    Margarito
    Cotto
    Clottey
    Cintron
    Mosley
    Williams

Heck even guys like Berto, Julio, Quintana, Estrada, Feliciano, Gomez, Mark Suarez, Richard Guiterrez, etc. might be too much for him because they are so much bigger and tough dudes. Additionally, Hatton's claims to greatness are beating an old Tyszu (with the help of a very biased ref and an illegal ut shot that took the life Tsyzu away), which Tsyzu would have most likely won on neutral turf or with a fair ref and old Castillo above his natural weight class.

Kostya was coming off a two year layoff after two surgeries and had what 1 or two fights. He fought in Hattons backyard where the Ref let Hatton Rabbit punch and maul at will with no warning and still they went life and death for 11 rounds.

Fights Collazo gets pummelled receives a gift decision actually I have him losing this fight hauls ass back to 140.

    Fights a shot Castillo.

Gets his payday at 147 against PBF Hyped up event everyone knew he had no chance of winning and gets kTFO. Goes back to 140 and refuses to fight Jr Witter. Days are numbered and will soon be getting ktfo as soon as he fights anyone formidable at 140.
